@florianatwobob It's hard isn't it when they look pretty and the provide nectar but in the long run they are an invasive species that are wiping out our native bluebell. 😢
@GrannyKate Having workmen in disrupts everything! Good luck.
Today has been a day of evicting bluebell bulbs along with other unwanted plants. I think I will sleep well - that said, I can end up like you @vulpix drop into a good sleep, wake up thinking it's morning, to find that I've only been asleep for an hour!
I also finished washing the dining room carpet so that is looking resplendent again.😁Tomorrow will be more of the same in the garden. I'm trying to work the back and front gardens at the same time so back on the 'nothing looks like it's getting done' scenario again. Hopefully before long, it will all fall into place again just like the sliding puzzle picture games where you look like you are going backwards but it suddenly all slides into place. 🤞🤞
I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the spring sunshine. Hugs to those who want and love to you all. Dxx

Hi all, sorry I have had some technical issues, kindle playing up, struggled to get onto the forum on my laptop so I am on my phone 😁.
A few photos to share
My knitting project, a cowl and pair of fingerless mitts for my friends son 😁.
A recent visitor to our very urban garden 😁, sat on the fence surveying the area for nearly an hour 😁.
Picture I had done by a friend of my sister's dog finally back from the framers and posted off today 😁. I think it turned out great 😁.
I have had a reasonable couple of weeks since I last posted, a whole day on a union course that hurt my brain having to concentrate for so long 🤣, a few footy matches and thankfully some real sunshine that has allowed me to tackle the garden, get several loads of washing dry on the line and have a few coffees over the fence with Ln 😁. My dnephew has managed to fly home from Goa with only minor disruption to his flight so we are all very relieved about that 😁. I will try to catch up with all the posts once I've won the battle with the kindle or laptop or hopefully both 🤣.
Hugs to anybody who wants one,
Not going to list everything just update my numbers to 365 from my list 😁
Take care everyone

I have been knitting & watching TV. Dinner was our usual Friday meal - quiche & boiled new potatoes for DSis, fish (sea bream), potatoes & peas for DH & I. Wudupa.

Morning all. Didn't do much yesterday as I was just getting in plasterer's way and treading plaster around. he did clean up after himself quite well. New loft hatch looks neat and he has tidied up the surrounding ceiling area with some new plaster so it doesn't look too bad whilst I am getting round to doing that area. They are coming Monday to finish off and check out a bouncy area of floorboards. I will chase up a decorator next week. Carpet is paid for and I have curtains once decorating is done.
Decluttered money as I took DGS4 to choose a new bike for his birthday and then took them to McD for tea as DS2 at a concert. DD got back home late last night after a week of work travels one after the other including 4 flights within Europe. DS1 is in S America on business - his first trip there. I think DS2's injury is starting to heal although he is still waiting for his urgent scan and orthopaedic appointment.
Three weeks today we go on holiday for a week. Sox will not be happy as he is going to cattery for holiday and having his booster jab this week. Washing out on the line already but think I have more to do.
308 Large bag of birdseed went home with DD last week - I don't put birdfeeders out because of Sox - although he prefers mice
309 Loads of emails read, filed, deleted etc - just 3 days away and they breed in the inbox
310 Downloaded some docs stored on computer and moved to proper folders - I took the time to sort through my folder list, tidy it up and delete a lot of stuff.
I think I'll check what photos there are to download.

Morning all.
Liverpool_Anne - lovely knitting.
I need to do some washing and then will see if I have enough stuff for a charity shop trip.
Last night I set about doing a budget now there is just one pension to run the house. I am used to cutting my cloth.

Lovely blind Florenceem,
Nice to see you and your photos Liverpool Anne, I have been wondering where you were.
Carpet fitting complete in the bay window. Such a faff. But I will never need to do it again.
Sent a tin of new paint with Mr V to the tip. They have a paint library you can help yourself to. It was the grey I painted our bedroom furniture, except it looks blue to me.
So we made a start at the front gate and worked down the side of the house. Tidying and moving rocks and pots to enable The car to get further up the drive. The pile of rocks came out of the front garden and the builder will face the retaining wall with them when the time comes.
2 pots taken back to our old house that our removal people stole off the new people! A very large pot with a hydrangea given away on thrift. Left by previous owners. A roll of roofing felt offered, no takers yet.
I only did 2 hours in the garden so as not to over do it. Fell asleep in the bath later! Got as much of the drive again to do tomorrow. A lot of pots to weed and tend to. A lot of hostas and ferns in pots need to go in the North facing back garden. Mr V is at work all day so I won't have a strong assistant.
First I must photograph and list the front bedroom furniture for sale. New stuff being delivered on Monday. Don't know how I will fit it in as I have a scan thing at a hospital miles away. Some thinking needed.
Better crack on and make the most of the weather. Vx

Happy Saturday everyone, it's been a sunny day after the fog disappeared so got a line full of washing out and some more to do for tomorrow.
As DS went out with his grandparents today me and OH went and sorted his room out, he had loads of magazines that I have put on FB Marketplace and on Olio for free as they will be okay for crafting.
There was some books that hasn't been read in a while so they have gone in to the charity bag, also had loads of paper that went in to the recycling bin.
He just has so many toys that I don't know what to do with them all, if I ask him to sort out what he wants to keep we get nowhere so maybe I will have to have look when he is at school.
Think that's everything for today, have a lovely evening everyone

I did have enough for a charity shop drop so did that in town. There was a North East wind so sunny but chilly.
I popped to Lid. for a few bits.
Daughter is getting me some bits from M & S. I have stuff in the porch for her to take. The Freegler collected his item. I have nothing on Freegle now.
I keep getting calls from the SEN chap who wants a DVD of the COL - I asked C about it on Wednesday - I don't need constant phone calls - I am grieving and need peace.
I had a letter from Nationwi.. today - 6 sheets plus a letter about interest on Mr F's accounts. Every letter said 0 as the interest was worked out and added to his balances before they transferred the money to me - what a waste of paper plus upsetting to see Mr F's name on each page.

Book went back to library today - have had it too long so am pleased to have finished reading it at last. I have one more that I have had for a while and am halfway through so will finish that when energy levels allow and get it back to library. Individual books don’t take up much physical space but mentally they have been hanging over me.
Did a bit more weeding this afternoon - at the front this time. Feels good to keep on top of it.
Email numbers have crept up again whilst I have been reading other things. Will have a go at reducing them over the next few days. Should be able to nudge 6 part frog along this week too.
