Thursday was another bright sunny day with a forecast high of 16°C, light ENE breeze & a low of 5°C Regrettably the recycling wheelie has NOT been emptied this week 😞 - the council couldn’t manage 4 weeks in a row ☹️ Shopping list written for DH & DSis. Shopping put away. Dinner was pie, mash & baked beans. Wudupa
517 - 519 Kitchen & office recycling, drinks cans - recycled
520 Kitchen detritus - binned
florianatwobob, hopefully the re-enamelling of the bath will be as successful as the oven cleaning 🤞
Lovely post vulpix 😊 I especially liked This “Cats not allowed in bedrooms anymore due to lack of paw maintenance on their part! They can’t say they weren’t warned.” hilarious 😹

Morning all. Not a lot done yesterday - awkward with tradespeople in the house. I am reassured by some of the gardening pictures as my garden is also a mess and I can only tackle short spells of physical work. I have children tonight as DS2 is at a show - I've made a bed up with mattresses in my room for DGS4 but think his old bed and the mattresses may be sold. I have a folding bed in garage which I can bring in and air which will do until new bed is ordered.
Bedroom 3 is plastered and just needs new skirting. A little more plastering needed in the inner hall which should be done today. I'll have a look in loft when builder is here. Reason for sinking ceiling was another split joist repaired with nails not screws - the same as the problem at one end of loft which I had repaired when I moved in. Joiner said roof construction is very weird. He fixed the joist and has put the new loft hatch where he had to take ceiling down. The rest of that outer hall ceiling will need plastering eventually. Plan is to do lounge next and then complete small outer hall and flooring right through. I have contacted a decorator to come and give a quote for painting small bedroom etc.
With some assistance I managed to cancel another monthly thing on computer which is not needed. £25 per month saved. I also got my cash incentive for changing one of my bank accounts. I need to think seriously about the very expensive gym membership - it is only the swimming pool I use and I could go to the council ones. The hotel has no competition locally and charges double what my daughter pays in Worcestershire for similar facility. Sox is rolling wherever builder puts down his bags of plaster so is sprinkled with light grey. He was cross yesterday as bedroom doors were shut and covered over and he couldn't get in bedroom 2 where he likes to sleep some days. He has a rug on the bed which he knows he can sleep on to keep fur off the bedcovers. Builder was more concerned with my new carpets and doors than the cat's comfort. I only have the later school run to do this morning for DGD3 but need to deal with some frogs. I forgot about my washing last night so it ended up staying out and has got damp again. I will put some in the dryer in a bit.
300 Computer subscription cancelled
301 Flower pot with seeds planted out and large bouquet of flowers trimmed and divided into two vases (Mother's Day gifts)
302 Easter cards purchased to put money in for DGCs - I doubt I'll buy eggs except for the 2 I see all the time
303 Downloaded two money off apps after some faffing about - ie working out which password the phone wanted
304 New loft hatch installed, loft joist repair, walls plastered etc
305 Old carpet and skirting boards out
306 DS2 took some new wood left over from my kitchen that was in the garage
307 Temporary window blind out - it was really useful when stripping bedroom but still needing to use the room. I tore it unfortunately taking it down but too small anyway for the rest of the decorating jobs.
Right I need to get going.

Morning,
How lovely is it out there today.
I'll be out from 10 till about 2 with dogs - don't mind on days like this.
I'll check back in later, have a good day all.

I think re enamelling the bath sounds the way to go Floriana. I once had a chip in a sink repaired. Much cheaper than a replacement and you had to look hard to see it.
Well, Iv'e had a strange night. I went to bed very early as I had been up so early. Woke up, couldn't get back to sleep, went down stairs it was 20 past 10. Hahahaha. Knitted till 1:30 and had another go! Feel a bit more human today.
A day at home today. A good tidy up then I will venture into the garden for the first time this year. I have errands for Mr V to do which he likes. Any excuse to drive about.
Out to the tip today, another laptop charger and the carpet from the little bedroom. First I need to cut a bit off the carpet to fit in the sitting room bay window. I hate the carpet with a passion. It does have it's advantages. I spilt a cup of black coffee on it the other day and you can't tell!
I am considering selling some furniture and replacing it with furniture I have seen that I love. Oh dear, a lot of trouble but I can't help myself. My name is vulpix and I am a furnitureaholic.

Part of my bin collection has been done - not the one standing there since February 15.
Been told that my new furniture will arrive next week.
Washing machine is on - a V shaped pillow.
I need to go and clean the bedroom windows while I wait for my J to arrive.
Things for Freeglers are in the porch.

finally decluttered quite a few things. Small electrical stuff to the B&Q electricals box, new and nicer stuff to our nicer Sue Ryder shop, retro stuff to the retro Sue Ryder shop. Have put old spectacles and blister packs in the car for Boots. It’s all been hanging around for ages but finally out of the house.

I measured up for the Ike. units and did the order to be told - can't deliver to you. I don't understand - grandson J has seen Ike. vans down our way. Anyone have any ideas?
This week it is J's road that didn't have bins emptied.
I have a bedroom blind.

J did two coats of emulsion on the craft room walls. Then he put the drawers back under the bed.
His mum is away with her school next week so J will be at mine on Monday to put a coat of paint on the window wall.
One Freegler turned up. The other apologised and said he will be here tomorrow.
I phoned Ike. and a lovely lady put my order through for me. It was going to arrive on April 1 but I have changed it to April 3 as I want builder J to fix the new skirting board in place after the floor is laid. Builder J said he will come on Monday to measure up for skirting board. Then J will need to prime, undercoat and paint it.
I am very happy with the roman blind - the fabric has a velvet feel. The lightest tree trunk is the colour on my feature wall. The room will all come together when my furniture arrives next week.
