@@suzeesu2000 sending hugs and healing vibes to you and your mum. Hopefully now they know more they can provide good treatment and support. Do take care of yourself as too often worrying about others means you don't look after yourself as well as you need x

@suzeesu2000 - sending many hugs to you and your mum. It is really hard when you are nearby and it is really really hard when you are separated and can't be right there to help and guide.
I have roommate J cleaning a bit today, emptying trash and sweeping. In the meantime, I have temporarily decluttered roommate Di who has been having low blood pressure and low blood sugar and who just went to the ER. She couldn't remember much today so I am a bit worried.
I did get the boys next door to mow our lawn - by paying them for it. It was over a foot high in places and mostly weeds. I will miss the yellow flowers though.
Yesterday the temperature was over 30C. It wore us out really fast. The temperature has gone down a bit today.

I have been missing in inaction, although I am sure I must have done something.
@suzeesu2000 - I am so sorry to hear about your mum and hope you can find a lovely home for her. It is very hard when you know what good care should look like to see that your dear parent didn’t have that service. Hugs xx
@BlueJ94 - Hugs to you too xx I think you are probably taking the right approach in keeping your head down and not getting involved. Unprofessional environments are very difficult to work in and all the normal avenues of redress unfortunately don’t function properly.
@tc77 - the sofa looks fabulous!15 -
Morning,
I can't remember if I updated yesterday morning dropping off a cs bag before my cousin came round - 11 items added so I couldn't use these as an achievement for time with her. Using my trolley as have back sprain at the moment.
Cousin helped with some things ready by door to go to cs, donation hub and cat rescue place but need dd1 to help. As important was reorganising things with items I don't use for the time being out of the way and other things handier. Also have items to wash and then decide if cs or recyling etc.
Large vintage sheets which despite bleaching aren't great and dcousin good when I said I don't like this but ( can still be used/ may come in handy,/ not good enough for cs so I should use) , 1 v large bath sheet all for animal shelter, 3 large new bath sheets for donation hub, large throw, kitchen items and 3 clothing items for cs, 2 x textile recyling and one kitchen item binned. Pair of curtains for cs , jug and basket.
New total 237
Thank you for the compliments about the sofa, helps me realise what things I don't like. There will be cushions etc to go, some I'll wait for dd2 to see if she wants as she struggles with change and have plenty of room cuee tly but just need to move from the living areas where they take away rather than add to my life.

Been thinking today. Always a bad idea!!🤣. Cupboards seem to be moving a long quickly so to keep me busy over the year and reach the quiet organised house I want I am listing a whole load of jobs that we want to get done in the house. Some need professionals but a lot we can do ourselves. So these will be added to my target.
Back garden, varnishing, pressure washing, painting, clearing and tidying I have listed 10 individual jobs. All can be done by us. I won't bore you with them individually but will report when they have been done.
Front garden is a small landscaping job but we can do cutting back, painting and filling jobs. Even though it is a much bigger project than back garden 5 jobs listed for there.
Our roof also needs fixing although we can't do that ourselves we live in a terrace so it involves our neighbours and is taking a lot of my time liaising with them and getting them to agree payment so I am counting that one too.
Bathroom has a few bits to do. 4 jobs there but they include new boiler and shower so are budget dependent.
Kitchen diner 4 jobs there. All can be done by us so maybe the place to start. Especially as I have nearly worked my way through most of the cupboards.
So adding 24 jobs to my cupboard clear out total.
Other jobs are at least one car boot sale and to list stuff on wightbay. It's so easy on the island as everywhere is driveable so things tend to go quite quickly. Although my old range cooker went to Scotland and a dresser top I had went to Wales!!!
