Spontaneous sort out of my make up and some bits I’ve not used are dried up so they’ll be off to Boots for recycling.

Hello,
I just found your forum today by pure chance. I would like to join the challenge, if possible.I would like to organize my house, basement and garage, so that everything breathes nicely again. Also, the rooms in the house need new floors, new paint on the walls, new lights, and the like.

Welcome @4kids_slo . Mrs Salad Dodger is very encouraging. This thread has made a huge difference to my life.
So organisation has started as well as dexluttering. Found some stick on magnets so now have the cards of the appliance fixed and the oven cleaner men that I use on the fridge freezer. No more rummaging for their numbers when I need them.👍

@4kids_slo welcome, all a very friendly bunch led by the fabulous Mrs SD!
Photo of the sofa upholstered, slightly more peacock in real life. The seat opens for storage- used to be gift wrap and some games over the last 60 years and the back folds down to make a bed. New stuffing too so v comfy. Ignore the mess behind and i will be swapping rugs and the sofa will go the other end of the room away from the curtains!

Afternoon gang!
Today started out good until there was an argument in work between two people and it came out that my manager has been talking about me to the whole warehouse staff so ive not been in a good mood most of the afternoon, ive kept myself to myself and put headphones in to listen to podcasts. I really cant be arsed for the drama so from now on im not going to get really involved in anything in work or say anything that I know will be repeated. Its actually made me quite upset as I trusted this person and now I no longer can.
Tonight ill make dinner, walk the dogs and maybe do a puzzle or lego not sure yet. I will definitely be treating myself to a wine and a bubble bath!
No decluttering yet but I will definitely make a start this weekend! Does two items of underwear count as the dog stole them off the airer? 🤦♀️😂

Oh wow. @TC77 what a lovely colour and timeless style. We have a snuggle chair coming from Dunelm tomorrow. Supposedly ink blue. Have measured it up very carefully and it should fit in our bay window. Similar colour to your picture I think but thing never look the same in a pic do they?

An excellent week. I have decluttered a client after 3 years, I am so glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.
We have also had an offer accepted on our onwards property, and the chain is 4 houses as their onward purchase is an empty house and no further buyer.
A couple of things identified to go on olio, these had been at the back of a cupboard and not needed anymore.
Will also be putting a jug and glasses up, I have purchased a new set which are much more 'me', so do not need the old ones.
Now just hope for a smooth sale and purchase!

Lovely sofa @TC77 . Just the right size for lying down on while watching the telly!
Sorry to hear about your work @BlueJ94 . Good colleagues can make such a difference to work.
Congratulations @Foofoopuppy
I had today off so I managed to get to the tip with lots of pine needles that had fallen onto the (now ex-) lawn. Our green bin collections don't start for another week or so, and the bin is also full. Remembered to take a defunct hard drive recorder, beloved but disintegrating old gardening coat, and some other bits too.
Popped into Howdens on the way back to look at their kitchens … such choice. I'm not yet looking to replace mine, but would quite like to have some ideas.
Then to Tesc this afternoon in the rain. Lots and lots of soft plastics dropped off, and two water filter cartridges for recycling. And lots of stuff that wasn't on the list (plus those things that were!!). There were half price chicken thighs and casserole veg. So they are now all in the oven cooking away. Smells lovely!
Sorted out part of the back room, so I could a) get to the shelves, b) get to the back door, c) see the top of the table, d) see the carpet … Sowed the leek seeds in a propagator, put the amaryllis bulb in some compost (better late than never).
