Honestly HR are a joke at the company I work for.. everyone likes to gossip. Someone reported a manager and the manager found out straight away who it was..

Had a night of pain and visits to the bathroom.
Not long up when I got a phone call to say my new mattress was on the way - so quickly dressed and stripped the bed.
New mattress looks lovely and feels nice and firm.
I went to SA with some carrier bags for the food bank.
Went out again to feed the birds and take donations to the charity shop. Next stop was getting cash followed by some lovely liver from the butchers shop. I popped on a bus to Lid. - I had left my list at home but remembered what I wanted.
Just got home and J the builder phoned - could he come and fit the new sink stopper in the bathroom. He did that and attached the magnetic door closures on the wardrobes. J reckons the closures need different screws. I have written a list of jobs that I want builder J to do so he will return.
The F & B paint that I ordered yesterday afternoon - arrived this morning!

@BlueJ94 so sorry to hear about work, that's so awful when you trusted them.hope you have the weekend off work.
@Yorkie1 and @Soontobeoap thank you for comments on the sofa. Its turned out better than I coukd have hoped. The fabric has speckles of other colours so hopefully hide any spills !
Still waiting for heating engineer to resolve issue with heating but at least I have it. Left work only on way home to be told he couldn't make it today, maybe tomorrow. D cousin coming round tomorrow pm and will try and have some dilemmas laid out to speed up thr process :)

Just a quick post as off South tomorrow - back Sunday. Went to great talk on Western Canada - pictures were amazing. When I went out I managed to fall backwards getting in car but no idea why. A bit of a sore rear end but helped by a hot shower just now. My sister in US reported her birthday card (for 5 Mar) had arrived today so that is much quicker than the Christmas card which took 9 weeks. Plasterer is coming Monday for final price and measuring. He was going to come today but I was just off out. I've messaged the electrician again.

Hello 4kids_slo, welcome.
Beautiful job done on the sofa TC.
BlueJ, awful. hugs.
FooFoopuppy, How exciting to be moving house.
Slow progress here. Most of the feature wall in our bedroom stripped. Almost as much time spent dismantling the hoover which I blocked up with bits of wallpaper. A couple of big holes from fitting new plug sockets filled. I painted 4 picture frames black and the mount of a jaguar car "leaper". All look great in the freshly decorated front bedroom. Emptied the bathroom as Builder J is coming tomorrow to drill the hole through the wall where the new toilet will be and to make a start on blocking up one of the bathroom windows where the new shower will be. Doesn't sound much but this took me all day. More of the same tomorrow plus some cleaning down stairs.
All the Dennis the menace jumpers are now sewn up.

Friday is another overcast day with a forecast high of 13°C (feeling 5° colder due to a SSW wind) & a low of 9°C - rained early a.m. DH received a call yesterday to let him know that his motorbike was ready for collection. He set off about 12:40 remembering to wear his motorcycle jacket rather than an ordinary jacket 😉 I have sorted out the large coffee table that my DSis uses - dusted & all old statements etc put into date order & put on the shelf underneath + 1” of envelopes recycled (394) Started sorting out a donation bag for CS - not counting contents until delivered. However I did find 2 plastic sweetie tins which have been recycled (395 - 396) DH got home 16:35 - as well as a new alternator the motorbike needed a new battery - 4 figure bill 😣 I have written March’s birthday cards & started on April’s. Dinner is our usual Friday fare - fish (hake) with boiled new potatoes & peas for DH & me. Quiche & potatoes for DSis. Wudupa.
397 - 398 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
399 Kitchen detritus - binned
Nice to see you MadamMim2013 👋 Sorry to hear that the EDT was moving so fast that you couldn’t get into the TLC Carriage ☹️ Excellently decluttering 👏 despite not feeling a 100% A belated happy birthday to you mum 🎂🥳 🥂
Excellent decluttering & cleaning in the kitchen Soontobeoap 👏
Great work florianatwobob 👏 Love the idea of a “spontaneous sort out” 😊
Welcome aboard the EDT 4kids_slo, lovely to meet you 😊 You are in good company & I am looking forward to following your decluttering journey 😊 If you need a place to start may I suggest reading my initial post on Page 1 of the thread. Good luck 🍀
Soontobeoap, This “Found some stick on magnets so now have the cards of the appliance fixed and the oven cleaner men that I use on the fridge freezer. No more rummaging for their numbers when I need them 👍” is a great idea 👏
TC77, the sofa looks beautiful ☺️ The upholsterer has done a great job 👏
BlueJ94, what appalling behaviour by your manager 😠 I agree with Floss - HR should be informed. After the day you have had you definitely deserve “a wine and a bubble bath!” Great work by your dog 😉
Soontobeoap your snuggle chair sounds wonderful 😊
Well said Floss 👏
Foofoopuppy, I had to smile at This “I have decluttered a client after 3 years, I am so glad that I don’t have to deal with them anymore.” 😁 Great news that your offer has been accepted 👏 I will keep everything crossed that both your sale & purchase go through smoothly & quickly 🤞
Yorkie_1, excellent & eclectic decluttering 👏
BlueJ94, HR at your company sound like they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot 😉
I keep nodding off so will finish the cheerleading later. Sleep tight 😴

Hi everyone
@TC77 I love your sofa and it would fit very nicely in my newly decorated lounge!
@BlueJ94 sorry work is difficult at the moment.
Hugs to anyone who needs one.
I've decluttered 14 hours of work per week from 1 Feb, I work 3 days pw now but also have a PT job and some self employment which I'm trying to do in the week to keep weekends free. I don't think I've got in a new routine yet but I will do soon :).
In other decluttering news, I've managed to take a small filled suitcase to the CS. I've also got rid of a few bits of old half used toiletries.
I've decluttered quite a bit of money to have my car repaired and more to be spent :(
Love to all
Deni x
