Morning all. The weekend was great and Cirque du Soleil at Royal Albert Hall was amazing. A lovely day in London with time and lunch at V&A and quite a lot of walking. Trains all ran ok so no travelling stress. We went back to DDs Saturday night and she drove me home Sunday morning although she had to go back teatime. I have no need to go out today but plasterer is supposed to be coming lunch time.
I have got on well with frogs - a few tadpoles to sort and only one larger frog left for the moment. All emails dealt with and filed or deleted. For 5 minutes my email inbox was empty.
254 Trousers in CS bag
255 Unused net curtains in CS bag
256 Large bag of items went home with DD
257 Holiday insurance sorted out
258 DD did some random jobs - fitting batteries, fixing doorstop etc
259 Emails cleared
260 Monthly banking done and some more things sorted because of bank change
261 Filing done and more papers sorted
If it doesn't rain I am going to cut front grass. I'll do a load of shredding first as drawer is full.

As blue sofas seem to be in fashion I am sending a pic of my new snuggle chair from Dunelm. Perfect for the bay window and doesn't over crowd the room. Ink blue . dS came on Saturday and we had plenty of seating so it is serving it's purpose already. Very pleased with it. 😊

MadamMim2013, decluttering your car sounds like a wise decision 👏 Hopefully, when you replace it, the new car will be reliable & enjoyable to drive 🤞

I went to count money at SA this morning - hadn't counted since December. I had offered a few times but he wanted to have a meeting before he would let me count. His excuse was - was I ready to count - when I am concentrating on something I am okay. So it took 3 hours to count all the money.
Popped to town - the Santand.. branch is closing in town so I want to close my account. I also wanted to check if Mr F had an account - his was closed. I have to go back with ID as my card was out of date - I don't remember getting a new one.
Breezy at the harbour today.

One frog swallowed. Renewed our annual travel policy which went from about £1200 down to under £400. 2 big factors is that last year we had world wide travel and this year we have just Europe. And I took off the bit about cruises which apparently was a big part of the renewal as well. Pleased with that.
And it was a fun call, little waiting, the woman was quite jolly asking if we plan to travel today as the policy renews tomorrow. (oh how we laughed!! nothing like leaving things to the last minute!!!) And was quite happy when I pointed out that she sounded like she was banging away at the keyboard and she needed to talk to her employer to get a reasonable adjustment recommendation for a soft touch board. I may be retired but working doing reasonable adjustments for 5 years has left its mark.

We have been having a nightmare with our mini. We keep getting a Drivetrain error. It says its ok to drive but performance might be reduced.
Took it into our normal garage and they printed off a list of error codes. Nothing specific but it seemed to be EGR or DPF related which are the parts of the exhaust that recirculate the exhaust to meet the emissions. Anyways it turns out diesel engines recirculate dirty exhaust air that clogs up the engine.Spoke to BMW and they said they needed to check the error codes as well. Hey ho. £200 for the check and they said a pipe was blocked. They wanted £500 plus vat to replace the pipe and possibly another £1500 plus vat if they damaged the exhaust manifold getting it off. I asked if they could clean the pipe and it was a definite no.
Took it back to our garage and they cleaned the little pipe. £140 plus VAT. Lets hope that resolves the problems. Its worth knowing that diesels need a good long run to regularly to regenerate the Diesel Particulate Filter or it will clog up.

Thank you @MadamMim2013, both mum and I are rather partial to a squish😁
Decluttered a very long deceased plant from by the front door. Wanted to clear the whole bit and get shot of the weeds in between the slabs but ran out of daylight. Not sure what to put by the front door now. It’s south facing and is unbearably hot in the summer and I can’t be going back and forth with water. Needs thinking on.
Washed, dried and put back the towels and mats in the bathroom, washed the floor first thing too so a bit of grubbyness Decluttered.
I am in the spring clean mood, I think it’s the weather and the blossom starting to show on the tree opposite.
Soaked half a dozen tea towels in Vanish as they were tea and curry stained.
Mums much the same, bless her heart, sleeping for England, no appetite but sipping fluids.Have a good evening all, sweet dreams xx
