I did treat myself to some new pj's, woops! But after the last few days ive had with work I needed a treat! Food, shower and then bed for me! Super tired

I still remember my Dad telling me, when I got my first car, that they liked to be driven. Since then, even though I don't do many miles - and most of them are short distances - I do try to take it for a blast along a local dual carriageway. It had a trip out just at the weekend 😁

@Green_hopeful The Dpf light on my Honda kept playing up. A quick blast down the motorway didn't regenerate it so I got it cleaned out in the garage thinking the problem was solved. Within 6 months it got so bad it cut out on me whilst driving so I returned to the garage in limp mode. It turned out that one of the igniters was faulty, so the diesel wasn't burning properly and hence clogged up the dpf.( think of the black smoke you see coming from poorly maintained diesel vehicles). One igniter changed, and a clean of the filter and everything is now ok .
May be worth having a check on yours if the problem keeps re-occuring.

#37 unexpectedly one of the drawers in my new glass cabinet - i had put some cans of fizz on their sides and a couple had emptied themselves - no visible hole, very strange - drawer being very well made was pretty much watertight - some interesting moulds! anyway turns out several of the cans were rather out of date so they have been decluttered
#38 & 39 - 5 boxes from the office - best find, 2 incense cones, 1 now burnt.
and tonight was immediately able to locate rosin for dd1 who is due here tomorrow

I'm soorytohear about you mum Suzeesu
My friend has decided she won't be able to go home again, I'm glad she made that decision as it was looking as it would have been made for her. I'm not starting any major sorting in her flat until she confirms with the social worker when we meet on the 10th, her delirium is a lot better but she still has her moments! I went into her flat today to look for cat protection paperwork for her cat and see if I could find her home content insurance paperwork as she can't remember who it is and I should advise them the flat is empty.
I threw away a large bag of paperwork and tackled some of her food cupboards she stopped cooking her main meal in 2022 and there were loads of packets of stuff with use by dates in 2022 / 2023 including chicken, lamb, beef, fish and vegetable stock pots (such a waste). I filled a black sack and washed out her glass storage containers there's still a little more food stuff to do and her freezer. I brought a bag home of in date food which I'll drop of at the food bank tomorrow. I've had three phone calls from her today the first before 8am I may break out my emergency gin before her flat is emptied 🍸🍹🥃🍷🍫🍪🍩🍰 she wants a care home closer to our home town and not one half hour away where she is, hopefully that can be arranged 🤞 then we can look at her new room and work out if she can bring some bits from home her current room is too small for more than clothes.
I don't feed the birds here but have brought home two packs of fat balls and some bird peanuts to put on the free FB page and two boxes of dog biscuits she used to feed the foxes which I'll drop off at a charity which has a pet food bank.
Please add lemon drizzle cake to the carriage!

@Dakota_Rose your note re. spelling mistakes reminds me of a very good film I saw last year Der Buchspazierer (I watched it with subtitles!) where one of the characters likes to find typos in books.
I got to church early so did some more hunting for the Dundee A-Z street art - I found a keys, watch, an x'ray and a pair of spectacles or they might be glasses - I need to find the other S or G! Went to a talk on Stations of the Cross (very talented artist friend has made a set for our cathedral) so that's S in my Christianity A-Z. And yesterday we had mussels for lunch so that's M from my protein foods list. Read Rosetti's Eve poem which adds another 7 to my various lists. A good haul!

Monday continued: forgot to mention that DH has started his walking again 🙂 He had been prepared & willing to walk in the cold but not the wet 😉 I actually left the house at 14:05 & caught the bus to CW - visited the bank & banked my February PB winning cheques + withdrew cash. Then dropped off DSis’s ood meds & uu inhalers (414 - 415) at Boots pharmacy. Bus home & was back indoors before 15:00. Updated my accounts & filed my one piece of mail - letter confirming my State Pension increase 🙂 Watched a couple more programmes from the planner. Dinner was slices of beef in gravy, mash & green beans. Wudupa.
416 - 420 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, glass jar, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled
421 Kitchen detritus - binned
Ernie wasn’t kind to me this month but DH won £125.
