Morning all - my J arrived at 8 ready to carry on with power washing the back garden paving slabs.
I have done my chores and just going to have another cup of tea.
Officer text to say photo paper has arrived - what size print do I want - I will pop to The Ran.. to buy some frames today.
Going to carry on with sorting stuff from the office while J is here.
I also need to ring the energy company - the account was in Mr F's name - I rang them ages ago to have the account put in my name as I pay out of my account. I was using the POA then. Now they have my name on the account but - Mr F's name is there as well. His name is first - so they have just added mine on and not removed his as requested.

Hi, yesterday was spent emptying the bedroom and rolling the fitted carpet. That was harder than expected and took ages. As the carpet is almost the same footprint as the sitting room below I want to put it in the sitting room as it is just bare floorboards in there and freezing. We will have to find some muscle from somewhere as I am not strong enough to help Mr V take it down stairs. The light had gone by the time we had finished so no actual painting took place. The painting will take much less time than the prep. In my mind I am still 30 and can do things in half the time I actually can.
The only other things done was to sand the large area of filler I did the other day in the sitting room, and gather all the equipment needed for decorating and take it upstairs.
I need to fill another large hole in the bedroom from the house rewire so off to do that right now. Mr V is going to his finance meeting and going to get some paint mixed for the bedroom walls.
Take care all.

Still on the kitchen drawers. Today it was the cutlery drawer. My goodness - I had so many knives and forks, none of which matched. I have been ruthless and only have the matching set in there now, although I think I might have to buy another set of four as there are enough knives and forks for us (as long as no-one visits) but not enough spoons! Of course, the ones I have are discontinued by the looks of it, which is a shame. I shall keep on trying to track them down.

Yay, I have hot water! No excuse for avoiding housework but in the office next few days.
Have pulled all towels out as think I have to know my inventory first and debating how many I need. Won't make a decision yet as my 'all' may not be all..Will sort at weekend with trip to cs as only half a bag at the moment.
Cd out , part 2 of 3 of a children's story but no idea where parts 1 and 3 are. Some more paper sorted and some salmon out as fridge temperature went up, engineer out tomorrow to check. Also front door sticking but have put a screw alongside the bolt hole and seems to work but taking a back key out too :) would like to declutter stress of house falling down..neighbour popping round tomorrow to see if door issue is the same one he had.
@Florenceem so glad you have J to help, and hope your bestie and some from your SA proving more caring x

Suffolksue - hugs gratefully accepted.
J did power washing of the paving slabs and started on the alley until he had exhausted both battery packs.
I phoned the energy company and they have changed the name on the account. I will accept the reduced amounts they suggest for each month but put the extra money in my savings account.
I ordered some clothes in a winter sale on an environmentally friendly clothes site.
Went out to look at furniture at the shopping centre - not impressed with the quality.
I bought two photo frames for C to print photos of Mr F in his uniform. Such a choice of frames in The Ran..
I browsed in the table lamp area - want one for the bedroom but need to decide on a paint choice for the room. I have a pink wall and 3 white at the moment. I may go for a green colour.
On my way home - I dropped the frames off at SA - I was in and out.
Raining here now.
Youngest daughter phoned on her way home tonight. Schools break up for half term on Friday down here.
The builder knocked on my door - he is coming tomorrow morning to see about a new radiator in the cloakroom.

Managed to declutter a large original signed limited edition print via Ebay, which has been packed in the cardboard from my new bathroom furniture & sent off. It had been given to me by the 2nd ex-husband as a Valentines gift 9 years ago, and I'm not overly keen on it now! Anyway it's left the house now, and I've recouped what it cost him 😊

Sorry I've been absent I been spending a lot of time with issues relating to an elderly friend who is still in hospital after a Boxing Day fall. Luckily we had LPAs in place as I've had to implement both, I'm not sure she will appreciate what I've agreed with the hospital as it's what we believe is in her best interest but I know it's not what she wants. The delirium after her fall is still causing issues and they have decided she lacks mental capacity to make decisions, we are compromising with six weeks in a care home, unfortunately it looks doubtful if they will find a local one. TBH I can't see her able to cope at home even with carers.
Today I had a couple of calls with the hospital placement team discussing care homes (she needs to be funded so contrary to what she thinks it's not as simple as just choosing one!)
Tidied one of my wardrobes today, two cardigans, a dress and a cotton jumper added to the CS bag, a pile of trousers/jeans moved to the bottom of the wardrobe waiting for me to do what I know really needs to be done with them and add them to CS bag. When I CBA ll have a trying on session which I'm sure will clarify what must be done.
Whilst remaking my bed at the weekend I realised that my pillows really need replacing and my sheet was getting very thin in places. I found some older sheets (not used so much) in the top of my wardrobe today which I had forgotten about but the colours would clash with by duvet covers, I stopped using them originally as they were the wrong colour! Just need to consider do I really need new bedding when I replace my pillows before I put my foot through the sheet.
A small financial frog was tackled whilst watching TV tonight, at least I can tick that off my list.
