v wise words ionafan beautifully put
I was out a bit after DH died ,we were at the tail end of Covid so there were still restrictions ,
I’m still out a lot as I don’t do well at home on my own for long periods ( a day is enough)
Hugs if you accept them Florenceem

Sending hugs florenceem.
Sorry to hear about how you have been treated.
Sounds as though you are being very wise and sensible, especially visiting another branch to worship with a friend as it's still difficult for you.

I didn't go to bed early last night so was later getting up this morning. I did my chores and got ready to go out.
I need to go out each day - get some fresh air and do some steps. I don't want to be indoors on my own all day/each day.
I walked to a nearby furniture unit - they used to have large premises so more selection of items. However this is a family business and you get good service. I was looking for bedroom furniture, a mattress and a small sofa.
I am not ready yet but wanted to start looking around. They do not charge for delivery unlike a large furniture company at the shopping centre whose delivery charge is £99!
The family business has been in our town for as long as I can remember,
I got a bus to Li.. for my free Belgian bun and went to Mr T as my bestie says that she gets her bras from there. I recycled water filters and a battery.
Next I went across to M & S to collect two orders. My bestie was meeting another SA member up in the cafe - I phoned and said could I join them. Bestie took me home.
I made phone calls to two companies who wrote to me last week - you have to wait so long to speak to someone.
Since I got home I have been working on stuff from the office.
My middle daughter phoned on her way home from school - asking why I hadn't contacted her since yesterday - she thought I could be lying at the bottom of the stairs. Lovely that they are keeping an eye on me. Youngest daughter phoned on her way home but I was talking to her sister.
Decluttered today - water filter x 2, battery, plastic folder, photo album, photos, notebook x 2, pen, folder and paperwork - loads of it!
I also found a set of cutlery from Germany - must have been from Mil's flat - that can go to my bestie's SA charity shop

I’m the same Florenceem, even after all this time I hate being in here on my own for too long

Different set of circumstances, but 20 years ago I was off work for some time with ill health. The doctor I was seeing gave me a daily task of getting out and speaking to someone every day. I tended to go to the local corner shop to buy a newspaper, so I could do the crossword from it. You're right that it can be counter productive to be indoors, without any contact with others, for days on end.

Monday rained overnight & early morning. Forecast is for a high of 10°C (feeling 4° cooler due to SE wind) & a low of 7°C. The day is a lot brighter than of late & I have even had a glimpse of some blue sky 🙂 DH has phoned the garage & is waiting for a call back as to when the motorbike can be picked up. DH has also started making a soup. Meanwhile I have been watching some Winter Olympics & am now watching a film M3GAN 2.0 about the horrors of AI 😱 I spent the rest of the afternoon updating family birthdays & addresses on my iPad & writing birthday cards. Dinner was cold pork or venison meatballs in a red wine & redcurrant sauce, mash & baked beans. Wudupa.
296 - 297 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled

DSis & I watched 2 more episodes of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - still not sure as although they are only about 35 minutes long they drag so much that they feel like 65 minutes long 😞 We had a short shower about 22:30.
weenancy, excellent work decluttering books for the book sale 👏 Sorry to hear about the twisted ankle 😫😞 Please rest up 🙏 Good luck with your online organising 🍀 Loved reading about your memories of all the different, ever progressing, forms of music media 😊 Soon someone will come up with a mini chip that is implanted with music etc being fed directly into our brains 😱
London_1, very pleased to hear that Saturday went so well & that your DDs didn’t bicker ☺️ Perhaps DD1 is mellowing 🤞Good luck with Sunday’s paper/photograph decluttering 🍀

@brie read your link to here on the declutterinf dilemma and also people referencing tool libraries. I always think libraries and other public places should have communal shredders so everyone doesn't have to buy one and same for other things that at a tool library you could borrow.
Getting a cup of.coffee while.the huss heats up and hopefully I get some motivation to do stuff before work.
Mrs SD i couldn't do with TV programmes that seem longer, although not perhaps ao good to watch drama series where it feels like an hour and then you realise 3 hours have gone :)
