Oh Buffs, what a naff time of it you’ve been having.
Make sure you inform the GP every time you have an attack so you have some proof to push for an early op date. Once you’re feeling better life will get easier.0 -

I tried my doctors but couldn't get an appointment, then called 111 who haven't called back. I have taken tomorrow off, so I can call again at 8 and hope for the best.
I must work out a budget.
Nevertheless she persisted.1 -
The Doctor half helped. I am off work to recover from my inflamed gall bladder. I have antibiotics. They wouldn't sign me off but I can self certify, not great as I have to call in I think but am not sure. It isn't nice self certifying as they look at you like a workshy lazy git but I will not be there forever. They just aren't good people to work for.
I have to go to the solicitors - should do it today. but I don't feel right. I have so much to do and am freaking out on the inside. Sort of frozen on the outside.
I have been sitting here contemplating a Seven Year Plan. I want to have only the mortgage to pay off once I retire and take a part time job and rent out a room or rooms in my house. Ideally to students. I would like to do the room renting sooner really. All depends on what happens - if I get the mortgage etc.
Today I opened a cash ISA because money is coming to me. And stocks and shares ISA - low risk 25 quid a month, just set and forget. I am hoping to ignore until retirement in a bout 10 years.
For the remainder of this year I need to focus on work and decluttering the house. If you are reading this and you have children please sort out your sh%t. It is so painful to go through every single item my Mum owned. I miss her an unbelievable amount and am only surviving because I have my dog, my sister and some of my friends who really get it. My life is nothing like it was. Nothing. And this house is just full of history and at the moment it is so hard. Every time I turn round something else has gone wrong.
Anyhow before I get really depressed I will go and have breakfast.
Also has anyone every just painted a concrete floor? Is that a thing?
Nevertheless she persisted.1 -
I am so sorry to read this Buffy, I cannot help with the huge amount of emotional challenges you have, but I can help with the floor. I have painted the concrete floor in my old cottage and a couple of years on it still looks good with the occasional touch up.
Big River company sell it, I think the brand is ‘ universal’ I made the mistake of buying terracotta which looked like spilt baked beans but then bought a dove grey colour which looks good. Try and get out for a change of scenery for an hour or so if you can and make lists, they always stop me spiralling, wishing you love and peace.

I’ve just goggled concrete floor paint and there are loads of brands and colours, it was easy to use 💪❤️
