Some posts will naturally fetch an insulting response. It is an individuals prerogative to retaliate to rubbish and waste of space posts yet every posters obligation to honor this website for the sake someone so magnanimous enough to start a free useful website and other contributors who selflessly contribute. I do not wish my family friends and acquaintence to look down on me for browsing this website at every given little spare time and claiming that MSE is a website does not maintain high standards. Some posters posting about the thong they wish to wear and blank posts and abusing the thankyou buttons which is otherwise the only way to express gratitude in return, Please remember not to drag this website to the gutters. The sad souls whose social life is limited to chatting on board, either do so with some dignity and respect to others or seek chatsites which I understand is in plenty.
And I make no bones about my being so passionate about this issues or care two hoots to anyone who cannot appreciate or see the sincerity of this post.

Perhaps if you had shown respect in your post (and we are both aware of the one we refer to) it would not have antagonized or upset others. I was aware of personal problems the lady in question was going through and felt she had enough to cope with in real life without being subjected to hurtful remarks on this site.

I don't consider people are 'sad souls' because they have an online social life, for varying reasons not everyone is able to get out into the real world to socialise and I wouldn't be disrespectful to them and label them sad.

As for my sense of humour, this appeals to some and not to others, as I'm sure does yours. I don't enforce it on anyone, no-one has to read my posts, there is an ignore option for anyone to choose to utilise or they can simply stop viewing the thread. If they consider it necessary they may also report me.

I would also like to make the point that until I read your post, which I found to be disrespectful and insulting, I had never experienced any unpleasantness whatsoever on this site.

The two hoots you 'respectfully' refer to I 'respectfully' return. I am sure the site is large enough for both of us, especially if we choose to ignore each other in future, so perhaps we can at least agree to do this.

I am also not the people that you are in personal dispute with from last week, or any other time.It is true that I have exchanged a series of PMs with people on this, several being people that cleared up some minor misunderstanding with me, and offered support.

Regarding the technicalities of the site, members don’t appear in the memberlist until they have confirmed their email address after registering. There have not been any instances of ‘hacking’ the forums. The correct procedure for reporting abuse is to email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com not to throw accusations around these forums without substantial proof. We are aware of such reports and will deal with them on our own terms and in our own time. Thanks

After all them hours of your WRONG assumptions do you finally get the message?Or will it take another 10 hours to explain it all to you.
