What is more, these new members do not appear on the Members List
It is remarkable that izzy first denies, then vindicates his actions
this is someone endlessly whingeing about the hypercrits [sic] that criticise him0 -
can we not let it drop now, hardly the place for a debate, if anyone has any issues with a member or there action then that is what abcon are there for...0

it is the place for a debate actually; suddenly embarrassed after the last 6 days are you?
I hardly think someone who went on a thanking spree in late March stands apart from the issues here0 -

I like Ted's idea of showing the number of thanks a person has received in the forum you are looking at.
Instead of showing total thanks, it could show arms thanks, or freebies thanks, although webby might not be pleased with this suggestion Ted!!
Izzy, was your aim to highlight the fact that the thanks button can be abused?
( "The point of the thanks button has now been highlighted and the point of the posts regarding it has now been proven and it has acheived it's aim" )
I find that a bit patronising really. I'm sure everyone already knew that.*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
If I don't reply to you, I haven't looked back at the thread.....PM me0 -
Sorry got to have tuppence worth.
If people are creating extra users to thank themselves, they'll get bored and leave.
I thank people for lots of reasons, most wouldn't be termed thanks. You made me laugh/smile/think etc.
I wouldn't trust someones advice based on thanks alone. You get to spot people who seem to know what they are saying, but watching what they are saying.
It is a serious shame the thanks button gets so much stick, perhaps it should go, it isn't really needed.
And my signature, it was an amusing thought, I could change it, but I don't have that many amusing thoughts.

Don't change it Al Mac - I didn't notice the thanks under our names until I read the comment in your signature
it makes me chuckle every time I see it!!!!

why don't you move on - deal with the preposterous insult you suffered here last week in private - and stop taking it out on fellow-members, who are not muppets for the fact that they missed your clever scheme
how did you hack the Member List?0
