Aw thank you @Baldybear I am so fed up of feeling unwell and exhausted. I was diagnosed years ago with chronic fatigue and ME and then fibro. But I'm not sure the last two diagnosis were right. I also felt the chronic fatigue was as a result of years of stress (bad childhood then a bad marriage) that just got too much for me which resulted in depression and C-ptsd crashes and having three small kids was the icing on the cake 🤨🙈😅 and then I went and got sepsis which knocked me out for months and I never felt my body fully recovered (gut wise and immunity wise). I feel drs are limited because they spend five minutes with you look at blood tests and not the person as a whole. I believe in a more holistic approach anyway. Mind, body, soul. I think a lot of my problems are C-ptsd and stress and it's filtered out into issues in my body because I couldn't cope.
I am tempted to go back for one more try but I am fed up of feeling unheard and dismissed. I have just filled out a form on their website as I had an email asking for feedback and pretty much said I felt unheard and walked away feeling like a hypochondriac.
I think menopause has certainly got some blame. But it is not all to blame. Stress is a biggy for me my body doesn't cope well with it... I don't really trust doctors and I felt so awful this year I gave in and went to them and once again I feel failed. I hadn't been to the doctor's in over five years and yet I was made to feel like I was making things up yesterday. Perhaps it's me being oversensitive but I don't think so.
I've bought lots of supplements - the things I and chat gpt think I'm low on, B vits and vit D as well as a few other things. I ran my blood tests from march and Dec through chat gpt and honestly it was a thousand times more helpful than that Dr. 🙈🤨
Thank you though, I really want 2026 to be a year where I have energy, where I feel well and where I don't spend the whole time stressed and exhausted 🙈💖.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

I have my appointment soon for ENT too. I'm hoping that I will get a hearing test....and I wonder if they will diagnose me with the Menieres ...most symptoms fit but not all. And typical the appointment I've waited months for is on the first day of my new job so I need to let them know about that when we are back next week 🙈.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Okay, gym is done. I did 20 mins today on the treadmill. My chest was too tight to do much. I listened to my audiobook as I walked and it was quite nice just to zone out really. Looking forward to this bad chest going so I can try and get some level of fitness back. We did 15 minutes in the steam room after but it aggravated my asthma 🤔 so I cold showered and went to the sauna instead which seemed to ease it more. Lots of cold showers in between the sauna and steam room and am I weird, but I actually quite like it now 🤣.
I made DP and myself some lunch to break my fast. Chickpeas with some paprika on, mixed in with rocket, pea shoots, lettuce, tomato and cucumber with some leftover lime squeezed on it. Also some avocado on the side and some quinoa. We both went back for seconds 🤤
I also had some OJ with 1ml of Curcumin in it (I stopped taking tumeric when I realised most had added ginger and ginger aggravates my tummy). I've added some B vitamins and D as well as my usual pro/prebiotics and some vitamin C. I'm still taking mullein leaf for my chest but it doesn't seem to have shifted the cough yet.
Hopefully my energy will be back to normal this year if I can keep on with some sort of routine of gym, fasting, good meals and vitamins. 🙏🏻🤞🏻
I didn't sleep well last night so am hoping for an early one tonight...will shove the ear plugs in extra so the fireworks don't wake me up 🤣.
Cinema soon! Hopefully a good movie, looking forward to catching up with my friend too!Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Hello again!
After learning a lot from dd's chest issues coughing is good as it shifts whats in your.chest, dont use cough medicines as just supresses cough and we need cough to clear our chest. Dd has saline nebs but saline drops would work too as loosen secretions as well as irriates to make us cough so maybe that would help? Not a dr but learning quickly!Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

@Baldybear not using cough medicine. I haven't had any but I have given in a couple of times when I first got the cold and had a lemsip to get me through the working day.Baldybear said:Hello again!

Saline nebs? I'm not sure what this is (but will be off to Google in a mo 🤣). I think we have to learn quickly these days otherwise we'd all die waiting for referrals and dr's appointments! (Okay slightly dramatic but you know what I mean).Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

The film was amazing! AND....!! I brought fruit with me in a Tupperware container and a fizzy flavoured water (no sugar or aspartame) and guess what I was fine. I didn't drop down dead from not having popcorn/ sweets and a fizzy sugary drink In my hands. Hallelujah! 😄 What a revelation 🤣. DP has almost done dinner too when I got in so I just need to avoid too many bad things to eat before my cut off point today and I can declare today a success in my diet. - I won't speak too soon, it is NYE.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

I'm online now looking at small nebulisers. A friend suggested I should get one but it slipped my mind....so I'm going to get one. And some saline too. I already use a salt inhaler which helps somewhat but this irritation in my chest is being so stubborn I think it needs a little extra persuasion to leave 🤣.Baldybear said:Saline is salt water in capsules, nebs is nebuliser, sorry so used to shortcutting everything!Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

You’ve just reminded me about my salt pipe. It’s literally on the coffee table in front of me and I haven’t thought of using it … 🙄🤷♀️😊
