I got a flash mop after doing the cleaning for a young couple after losing my last job. I hate the smell but was impressed by how clean they get the floor, once they can’t hold any more dirt they just don’t flow over the floor anymore. Mr KK has now learned how to use it - he volunteered on Christmas Eve 😊
Stop fretting about the new job (as best you can). You are perfectly capable and you will have support to learn what needs to be done. That isn’t you fretting, it’s the echo of your ex chuntering away in your subconscious. Try visualising yourself in the job, a few months from now, it’s a bright, sunny, spring day, with blue skies and a fresh wind. You are in the middle of a team and absolutely on top of your game, laughing and smiling because the team dynamic, which you are part of and support, is so good.I wonder if it would be worth seeing a sports physio for that knee? They could strap it up for you with that super whizzy modern self adhesive tape - might help support it?And I totally get the joy about the gherkins 😉😊❤️ I have one or two things in the freezer which I’m looking forward to consuming them 😊

@beanielou it does feel flimsy! And I'm so heavy handed I had to be really careful 🤣 It got under all the cupboards and sofa a little easier than my old one though.
@KajiKita thanks, also my father's voice in my head alongside Ex *rolls eyes at both of them* ...the mop did get the floor clean, I felt like I was going to snap it over a few tough marks though and was really mindful about how I was using it. But perhaps that's a good thing, a bit of mindful cleaning and I've done my meditation for the day 🤣.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

My First Aid box is an old shoe box kept in one of the kitchen cupboards. You can pick up plasters and things really cheaply at places like Asd@. I was given a proper bag by work during C-19 but most of it has expired unused. I took some of the plasters out of it the other day and they had stuck together so weren't great quality either."Think of many things, do one"

Thanks @sandyshores this is why I clicked out of the app ....a lot on the list of these boxes, I thought when would I ever use that? What a waste of money 🤣. I have a box already, just an old ikea tray the kids used to use which I'm happy enough with but it is empty and needs some bits in. I think I'll have a look for bits separately for burns, cuts, grazes etc ...I was being lazy looking for a kit already done but was too tight to pay for it (thankfully 🤭).SandyShores said:My First Aid box is an old shoe box kept in one of the kitchen cupboards. Um, DD is back from her dad's house. Just had the lowdown and needless to say I think I'm more worried about DS2 now than I was before 😬. Ex is not recovering alcoholic, he is alcoholic in hiding away from his gf, although DD says he drinks less now than before. New gf overbearing and had a total rant about immigrants (even third generation English who's grandparents were not English *raises hand that would be ME then*), she's homophobic, racist and had a moan about English mixing bloodlines with foreigners 😬 OMFgeee I am hoping DS sees through this and doesn't get brainwashed by this w(_r_)ench. DS barely spoke to DD and seemed super depressed. 😔 Ugh. I was hoping in a way she'd come back saying, he seems really happy without you and loves it there ...not the case.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Morning all,
Thanks @beanielou I'm a bit shocked but also feel ex is getting his karma with that one. She sounds a delight. DS was already watching the likes of Andrew t@te before he went - although I think we'd got him off that- to be around someone like that is worrying to me. DS is naive and gullible and easily swayed. Trying not to worry ....
So DP has gone off to his mum and dad's house down south until tomorrow, I didn't want to go because I hate the journey and for one afternoon and evening I felt it would exhaust me for work on Monday. I have sent my love instead and intend to carry on tidying the house (I've been doing it slowly slowly).
I had a complete salt overload last night with dinner and ended up super dehydrated so sat watching TV last night with a bottle of water attached to me. I must have filled it five times (think it holds 650ml) and thought I'd be alright this morning but I have my usual salt overload headache now. Started my day with water again and hopefully it will pass.
I was debating the gym today but I feel tired in my body so I think I might give it a miss I'll see how I feel. I won't feel bad for not going as I've been every day this week (aside from new years day as it was shut). I'm trying to listen to my body seeing as though I'm my own doctor now 🙄☺️.
I have everything ready for work on Monday and I think DD has plenty of clothes to wear (thankfully no uniform any more so she can find something even if not her favourite bits), this means chilled weekend ahead 😁.
Oh and a bin has been collected/ emptied woo. So just one overflowing one now with still a week till next collection 🙈 next year I am checking bin collection before Christmas not after!
My g0ust0 is due today and the salt nebuliser thing I bought. My cold has mostly gone now but when I lay down I can hear myself wheezing and then I start coughing so I will use it. And I think DP could do with it. He's in the worst bit at the moment where you can blow your nose for a minute straight and still need to do it more 🙈.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500
