Long one, sorry…
#17 t2rry reporting my final £100 for July please
That's from RoundUps, which I may stop counting now the linked savings pot is 'full' and revert this back to part of the passive savings that I don't declare here.
My automated savings for August haven't all gone out yet so I'd normally say I'll be back next week to add August BUT with those that have already gone out, partly because I had an extra lump sum of income land…
…I (we) have HIT MY (our) 2026 TARGET ALREADY!
So please may I, #17 t2rry, also report £1,800 for August
That means £20,000 saved of a £20,000 target, during what I thought would be the hardest year to manage it!
We are going on holiday this month so my celebration is to not put such a tight budget on the holiday as to require me to keep close tabs on it, which I usually do and takes time away from just enjoying it. I have put aside our average holiday spend (circa £1,400, I've no idea if that's reasonable or not for 2 weeks but it's where we tend to end up) plus more so I know it's comfortably covered without the need to check. I've basically added anything over the £20k total this month to that pot, plus a pre-holiday purchase pot (clothes etc that we might need to update/replenish as we do so little through the year). This might mean come the end of August, I can add a little more, it might mean we enjoy a 'sod it' moment on holiday and treat ourselves to something we never usually would, who knows!
That's certainly more information than you all require but it's lovely to have somewhere to 'celebrate' this win, in real life it's only in my head and my spreadsheet!!

@t2rry It IS lovely to celebrate it here and I am sure we are all thinking how fantastic to hit £20k 5 months before the end of the year! well done to you!.
Over here my bee shed pot has now tipped over £4000 above the £10k emergency fund. The bee shed pot bought the new truck in March, along with some of the EF and lots of cashed in PBs. I remain in the mindset of saving and really resent spending it!
