@tinkerbelluk thank you for the new thread. There's so much of my current list that I haven't done - I gave up tracking about 2 months into 2025 - but I'll try again. Hopefully, I'll achieve some new goals. For now, my list is:
- Continue doing the Fashion-on-the-Ration Challenge and stay within my 66 coupons.
- Do the Grocery Challenge every month for 12 months.
- Write a draft of my £100 Grocery Challenge book. (Recipes plus budget.). I’ve been thinking about doing this since 2020.
- Contribute 20% of my salary into my pension.
- Invest £800/month in my ISA.
- Save £250/month as general savings. (I'd like to save more, but that's realistic.)
- Read one book a month. (12 books.)
- Continue with my Duolingo German and keep my 2,031+ day streak going. (The first 1750 days were in French.)
- Read a novel in German.
- Knit 4 adult sized sweaters. This doesn’t include the reknit mentioned in point 14.
- Use at least 20 skeins of knitting yarn from my stash.
- Purchase less than 6 skeins of yarn. (I’d like to say “no stash enhancement” but I know that’ll be broken.)
- “Fix” two jumpers: lengthening the Aran sweater I knitted in 2024 - adding at least 2 inches - plus
- Reworking the body and neckline of Good looking Chic, taking out the (unnecessary) additional gore that I put in when I made it, and making the neckline less bulky.
- See friends outside of my regular circle, at least once a month.
- Run 3 times a week - running was one of 2025's successful goals.
- Complete 5 Park Runs.
- Attend 12 "events" (concert, theatre show, cinema trip, talk/lecture). This challenge excludes our usual Prom Concerts, football and cricket matches.
- Go native and finally get my British passport. (I’m Australian. Been here 36+ years.)
- Spend 15 minutes a day tidying the house. This is on top of the regular housework that I do (laundry, dishes, cooking, etc). I’d like to live in a clean, tidy house, but neither me nor my husband were born with the neatness gene.)
- Make my will.
- Achieve some measure of job security either by getting a new job or getting my fixed term contract converted to permanent. (I’ve been FTC for 5 years and was a contractor before that, but only because in their previous incarnation they never hired anyone permanently, if they could avoid it. I’ve been employed by them in one form or another for 9 years!)
- Redo my LinkedIn profile.
- Rewrite my CV.

I also started on 27th as the vortex between Xmas and new year is very unstructured and needs something to fill it other than stuffing my face with leftover chocolate! It’s going well so far as I’ve concentrated on positive fun life enhancing things. Things I always strive to do but lack the organisational skills to remember in the moment3

Hi!
I have been thinking hard about this….as I have a serious illness and work full time I don’t want to cram in too much or ill overload myself.
