That Lid l £9.99 champers is fab Black Cat, so enjoy it to the max with your pizza.  I'm off with a neighbour to watch the university choir give their Messiah in the big church this evening, with a bit of carol singing on the side.  Belovéd is at Argyle v Rotherham because our neighbour comes from there originally, so all the chaps are having a chaps afternoon out.  Belovéd is on Wren sitting duty this evening, so it's all worked out well.
Thank you all so much for the lovely Flylady cards, and Natty for organising it once again.  I scoffed the chocolates as I read them, and loved every minute of it all.  Much appreciated.
WM x 4 so far, all dangled outside.
    Better is good enough.

My Flylady package also arrived today - a big thank-you to everyone for the lovely cards and messages, and to Natty for organising the swap..  The contents of package had clearly been subjected to a thorough check by Santa's elves: they left their marks everywhere  I have put my chocolate coins on the LR mantlepiece, well out of Rosie's way, but in full sight where I can be sure that DH has not snaffled one without me realising

I'm glad to hear that Wren is doing well (love the idea of her wearing blue pj's  ) and very much hope that you get her full diagnosis soon, HB.

Narc0, please don't wear yourself out, mentally or physically.  You've had a lot on your plate recently.

This morning I had to be up and out of the house earlier than usual, so of course I woke up at some unearthly hour with no need for an alarm.  I picked up my friend S, drove her to another friend H's house, and all three of us piled into her car for a trip to Millennium City, to visit our two youngest godchildren (the ones who are very close in age and have always been quite a handful for their parents).  Both children have shot up since I last saw them: E is only 6 but is already up to my chin - I did point out to her that I am shrinking! - and 5yo J is nearly as tall.  They were both a lot calmer than I've ever known them, got on with painting Santa masks that S had taken them, and we all spent a very pleasant hour together.

I took Rosie for a walk after lunch and then rang my young friend J to see if she had come over to visit her family today.  She had, but her daughter is unwell, so I decided that it would be best to keep out of their way and not run the risk of bringing germs back to DH, and I'll see them around Christmas.  Instead I had a few much-needed zzz and a bit of a reset.

I've completed all my purchases for the Food Bank's Reverse Advent Calendar, so I can deliver two more bags to church tomorrow, and that will be another thing crossed off my list.  I am about to re-write the list with clearly marked deadlines, so that I keep abreast of all my time limitations for the coming week.  We have several evening events to attend but generally not much going on in the daytime, which will make things easier.

Evening, hope you've all good, had productive days and that poorly furbabies are on the mend.

Walked into town this morning for a few essentials like family cards, stamps and a new toilet brush  :D and picked up some extras. DS is hosting Christmas lunch this year but asked if I could bring cutlery as they don't have enough so I picked up a couple of inexpensive (but nice) sets of 4 so will take them on Monday when I mind the children. Also bought 2 new dog blankets for the sofas as we had been using old towels but these look so much nicer.
DH then wanted a ride out to Mr A to take a parcel back, apparently they are the only place that take big parcels to go back to the rainforest. It was hen down to Home Bargains (how do I spend so much in there!) and a quick wander into Wickes for a towel rail and a look at skirting for the new bedroom.

The plaster doesn't look like it is going to be dry enough to start painting tomorrow so that only leaves me Tuesday to start painting then I'm back at work, so tomorrow will probably be Christmas tree day, I need to have at least 1 up this year.

The living room 2 was finished and the floor mopped, the hallway still needs to the shoes sorting, a dust, hoover and mop then downstairs is finished.

    WM x 1

Chilli cooked for DH and I, DD is out tonight and the leftovers bagged up batch lady style for the freezer.

All spends have been logged and bank accounts reconciled, and there is still money in the Christmas fund to do a Laithwaites order  :pensive:

Cards still need to be finished and stamped then DGD can help me post on Monday if its fine out. I need to choose a colour scheme, bedding and a carpet for the new room. I have appointments I  need to remember to make next week, and to chekc if I registered Mums trust properly with HMRC when she passed, the deadline is 2 years and its nearly that and I'm not sure I did it right.

Thats enough for now as bed is calling
