- home via mr T to get flowers for swim buddy's Christmas present as I'm having coffee with her tomorrow. I'm really struggling to get decent flowers this year, which means I have to buy more than I need to ensure I have enough. Next flower gifts aren't being given out till Saturday and Monday and looking at what I have, I'm not sure they will last which is unusual and annoying. Hopefully a lot of conditioning and spraying will help.
- finished knitting and stuffing snowman for my gate post topper; had just enough wool. Have started knitting his hat.
- bit of tidying in the lounge as we are gradually putting up decs so empty boxes are currently under the stairs but can go in the loft on Thursday when we are both free from appointments.
- Did swim buddy's arrangement. Not entirely happy, it's the arrangement in a 'cracker' (Christmas not biscuit!) which I haven't done for a few years. Oh well, I have a little time in the morning to check and fiddle with it.
- ordered ticket for our church Christmas Line Dance on Friday. Yep, tinsel and cowboy boots; all Christmas songs but with line dancing.........
Can't remember what else I've done. Bits and pieces.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
@Blackcats - cats will always choose the worst place to throw up - on your best carpet, the newly cleaned sofa, or your bed. Much better than any newspapers would be. They don't like regular floors either. I have cleaned up three times so far this week after cats. If they do use a regular floor, it has to be spaced out in two or three areas - not together and preferably where someone will step in it before it all cleaned up.6

Morning
What I've done in no particular order -
At the weekend I did some batch cooking, mostly soup so the freezer is now full until all the Christmas food has gone. I've also run out of portion size plastic boxes. So the DW has been on several times.
Kitchen has been S/S
Washing has been put away and I currently don't have enough to do anymore washes.
OFD meds taken to the pharmacy on the way to meet BF for lunch on Saturday.
Christmas tree was put up last week so GS toys are now in the way cos their home is the only place the tree can go so that can't be helped.
I've writing out the cards to be posted, which will get done later today when I go to my group. I also need to buy some more cards as I don't have enough for the hand delivered ones.
I also updated my address book, a bit sad to see who's gone and who I no longer have contact with.
I have shredding to do but won't do that til I can hear ND up and about. I also need to go to my parents to collect their shopping list and bank card as DD2 and I have to do their shop tomorrow.

Morning all, it's a windy day here, but at least it's not raining.
My list for today
Meeting with my year tutor at uni
Do paid stuff
Do uni work
Collect cash from a local auction house, I sold some old stuff last week.
Drop another load of stuff at the auction house
Do some festive shopping whilst in town (cards, tape and paper)
Take the dog for walk
Cobweb dusting downstairs
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday.8 -
Morning all. Two loads of washing done including bedding. The forecast for today was sunny and windy so I pegged out the duvet covers and sheets. Then the forecast said showers so I got it back in again. Hasn't rained yet but I'm done!Shopping delivery came nice and early and all put away. I have another one booked for Thursday next week then that will be it until January I expect. Only us two here so we don't need lots of extra stuff. I already have a turkey and a couple of small joints in the freezer, along with two dozen mince pies which I made last week. This afternoon I have to check on DD2's dog, pick up DGD4 from school, attend her Christmas fair, back to her house to see to dog again and cook DGD4's tea and then wait for her Mum to get home from work. I hope the Christmas fair is busy for the school's sake but not for mine
Hope everyone's OK x8 -
Two loads through the WM and pegged out, I'll peg out the third load later. Dog crackers made and baked, although I'm not sure she deserves any treats. While I was busy sorting laundry the cat pushed the treats tin out of the cupboard and Wren pawed it open. I've no idea who ate one of the puffed chicken feet because the cat was sinking his fangs into the other one, which I rescued. The half packet of chicken sticks is now an empty packet. So Wren didn't get any lunch and Higgs is on reduced meals for the rest of the day. Some paperwork shuffled and a long phone call about a miniscule pension was taken. Honestly, there's so little in it it will cost them more to administer it than is in the pot, but as it's mine - thank you very much.Better is good enough.7

Evening all
Managed 3xWM, line mostly dry & finished in TD. Also did the bathroom & some FUPA. Oooh, and chased up mum's banking stuff.
Feeling a lot better, so aiming to get house in decent order ready for Christmas tree & decorations.

Hi all
Car MOT and service done, the people at the new garage were very nice. It was still stressful though.
One load of laundry off the airer and put away and another out of the machine and over the airer. It's just endlessly damp and rainy here.
DH is full of cold and I think I am getting it. Tired tonight. The paid stuff has been tricky.8 -
I did a towel wash today and it got fairly dry on the line and is just finishing off on the airer.
A friend visited today so I made a chocolate cake and a minestrone soup for a tasty but easy lunch. There's cake left for tomorrow too.
i cleaned all of the kitchen cupbord doors this afternoon whilst listening to my book. They weren't dirty but I think they look brighter and fresher now.
