New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

My April pension payment now showing on HMRC app (payment due 1st May).
The HMRC app has been a god send for me as it's been the only way I've been able to see how much tax has been deducted - gross payments etc as I have had no payslips or anything from Capita
As mentioned the only correspondence I have ever had from Capita was that daft letter today and their portal still shows nothing of use at all.

Not sure if this has been posted before but Google AI says this;

Did it include the 2026 increase? I've just looked in the portal and I only have the payment advice for the payment made on the 1st April.

My increase is pro-rata (4 months worth) and yes it appears to have been added going by my calculations
Any pension payments should show on HMRC app/govt gateway 3-4 days before your actual payment date

From colleagues experiences it seems hit and miss if the 3.8% increase has been applied, some say they’ve had no increase, others - me included - have, but I’ve been having my pension for several years.
I’ve not bothered trying to register on the new site yet, but it seems hit and miss and totally random as to what appears and disappears from it.
Right bloody mess, and I can’t see when it will ever get any better unless it’s bought back in house.0 -
So absolutely “on brand “

👍 Good news. Hopefully, mine will arrive tomorrow or the day after then. Presumably, the figure quoted was just an amount which tallied with your arrears, not including the WPS refund? I am also due a WPS refund.

The statement details the total annual pension and lump sum payable, both tally with the quote MyCSP provided back in Oct 25 verbatim. Why Capita couldn’t have just taken those figures and put my pension into payment much earlier….
The partial pension arrears paid earlier this month are listed in a separate paragraph. So I await what they’ll pay me in May, how much is left after tax and whether it includes a pro-rata annual pension increase for post April pension. Fingers crossed pension doesn’t slip into June.
The WPS refund I’m due is not mentioned in my statement.
As to when and if other updates filter through who knows, e.g. 6 months of pay increase from my employer not included in the MyCSP quote.
I may have got the statement expedited through the post as the local council screwed up printing postal votes and the postman was busy delivering new ones today (which hopefully will arrive in time to be counted).

certainly the previous quotes from MyCsp gave the figures of any WPS refund, because if you have yet to make your McCloud choice, the figures of refund may well be different for each choice as you only get WPS refunds in Classic service.

yes, my MyCSP quote had the WPS refund figure (which I was expecting), the issue is whether Capita’s finalisation statement will include it and whether it will be paid at the same time as the monthly pension and arrears. WTW above indicates not. Might be something we all have to chase if slipped through the cracks.
