I've done partial transfer out several times in the past… and one this year 2026. Note: They've never been quick IME

Barclays are doing system maintenance meaning there is no access to Smart Investor accounts until 3pm today (app or online banking)

Cash ISA transfer Aldermore to Barclays

    Transfer requested submitted 08/02/26 (evening)

Barclays transfer request submitted to Aldermore 10/02/26 (Investor Hub chat agent confirmed the date)

    Cash left Aldermore on 12/02/26

Barclays Investor Hub showing still 0 as balance and I would hope it either shows up after their maintenance period today, latest on Monday.

Once credited I should be free to transfer out straight away again without bonus elegibility impact. Since transfer out from a S&S ISA to a cash ISA can take up to 30 days it's a maximum of 30 days of having to deal with their 1% interest rate vs. a higher rate elsewhere.

Having successfully transferred 4 lines of stock from Scottish Widows to Barclays to benefit from this offer, I’ve just requested that they be transferred back out again. In principle, since my Barclays account was still open at the end of the eligibility period (Feb 14) I should get my cashback bonus. However, I purchased a small quantity (£50 worth) of another stock within the Barclays account just to keep it open until the cashback hopefully arrives in May. This step shouldn’t really be necessary, but it costs me very little and I thought it might be useful just to keep the account open for the moment.

I could have left everything in Barclsys until May of course but that would result in my paying Barclays more fees than I’d like.

You could buy something like RLSTMM and transfer out in specie? Should get c4.0% less fees during the lag?

Beware, read somewhere on here CSH2 may not be transferrable..?

Barclays is really slow. Cash ISA transfer from Aldermore and cash left Aldermore on Friday 13th and has still not appeared with Barclays. Already 5 days without even getting their 1% interest on cash balances.

Chat said it can take up to 3 working days to credit, not had any other provider that took so long and if so it was backdated, which Barclays isn't doing they said. Another reason to transfer out immediately once the funds are credited and showing in the app.

Not a platform I would ever invest with. At least no fees for cash balances but interest loss is material, a 1% rate at least provides some damage control maximising cashback reward.

Apparently, Aldermore sent a cheque to Barclays that was received and cashed today. Funds to be added once cleared and not getting backdated. Who sends cheques nowadays???

If the government wants people to invest instead of holding cash, they should leave subscription limits untouched but should improve customer service and regulation that there is no loss during transfer and people are not facing losses because of last century procedures.

If funds are credited on Friday I face an interest loss of almost £58 vs. having kept cash with Aldermore at 4%.

Also, chat confirmed I registered and eligible for the cashback. At least some good news :-)

This would be a taxable income, first £1000 ok, but taxed on the rest?

My funds were also credited today. Transfer out request with another provider already sumbitted. Bonus elegibility was confirmed to me so no need to keep cash there any day longer than needed. I leave £1 behind to keep the ISA open for now ad once the cashback has been paid I will transfer my £1 plus any interest I earn while I wait and close the ISA.

I'm still waiting for one fund to complete the transfer. Raised complaint. It was completed/settled by the sender (aj bell) last month so not sure why it is taking so long and barclays don't seem to also but they are looking into (pathetic given I raised the complaint a few weeks ago).

Does anyone know what could be going wrong, perhaps the fund manager holding things up?

If still not done in next week or so would I be eligible for offer based on value transffered in so far if I cancel the final fund being transffered in?
