I confess I have done 30 x £1 card payments to our electricity account, via the Octopod app 😂 Then I did exactly the same for Mr C's account 😂 so as long as that counts we'll be fine (people on the thread think so, but we won't find out for sure until Feb).WelshmansDaughter said:Lol Cheery I am in the same pickle I did 4 transactions then lost momentum4 -
OAT- I called up to get my dog more tablets and booked her annual vaccinations so the appointment will be this week.I have a nice new sofa being delivered today. I was going to go out to the cinema, but I think I will just have a day at home.🏠 It does feel quite chilly.3

Expensive, but absolutely fantastic! We dressed up in Victorian clothing and had a blast - so much so that we are looking to go to the next show (le Chat Noir) in April 😊

How wonderful @greent!
Hope nye hosting goes well.
We're not big fans of nye so will be having our Christmas day together tomorrow, opening our presents to each other, eating far too many delicious things, and quaffing. We're considering a Christmas day walk but will let ourselves leave that if it is orrible out there!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

A huge number of stuff got decluttered into the skip, and the friend who helped deserves a special award for (1) not sharing opinions or even pulling faces and (2) utilising the skip space with far more patience and skill than I ever managed so I didn't have to restack it all once they had gone.
Still lots more to go but it felt like real progress without me getting upset or angry.

Sounds like an excellent friend @redofromstart and a good day's work.
I slept in the spare room this morning, so was woken by the sunrise, and managed to get out of bed in time to take some pictures (in my dressing gown and rigger boots in the garden, but still). Please enjoy the final sunrise of 2025 😊

I was feeling quite depressed about not having anywhere to go out tonight but I woke up today and decided I am cooking us a special dinner for us to celebrate. I thought it might be the last Christmas and NYE I have my dog as she will be 15 next year so I thought I would make some effort to be cheerful. I am going out at the weekend and meeting a new group of people for the first time anyway so I suppose the arbitrary date isn't that important!
I am wearing a silver and black Dotty P dress I haven't worn before along with my dangly earrings and necklace. I'm just going to start making the roast potatoes.
Happy New Year to all on here.
