Is there a Nati*nwide branch near you @dustydigger as there are quite a few and I have found them to be helpful? It seems odd that they have moved your ISA without your permission.Nice day here today for a change, and my washing almost dried outside on the line
We went out this morning to another town, had a look round the charity shops but only bought a 2026 calendar from Oxf*m. OH bought a top. So still on NSD # 4, as today wasn't one. I still have Christmas shopping to do, so I suspect there won't be too many this month, but all is budgeted for. We contemplated having coffee or lunch out but decided to come home instead.Did a few useful jobs - cleaned the kitchen floor, and put back all the stuff that OH had moved to clean the windows in the loft conversion bedroom; mainly kids toys plus a pile of old suitcases containing my tax records. Hoovered the carpet before putting all the junk back!OH posted the Christmas cards - I thought he had already done it
Made cottage pie for dinner
I have a full day's work tomorrow and another on Friday.Grateful for a sunny day today

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear
My work is a total skip fire. 📦 🔥
Idiots at the wheel.
It is hilarious.
On the other hand I am in the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in, I have been round all four of the Xmas Markets and was back here in bed with a cup of tea in time for Shetland.
So drama, mayhem, twinkly lights, gluhwein and probable mass incompetence tomorrow!
All on a NSD cos someone else is paying.
Love it when those 'in a position of authority' roger it up majestically. Their walk-in of shame in the morning is going to be Epic!

Nsd #6 yesterday. Worked an 11 hour shift so other than eating and sleeping, didn’t get chance for much else. Debating food shopping later as it’s the only time I can fit it in. December is crazy isn’t it? Works Christmas party tomorrow night, which should be fun. Not feeling Christmassy yet so hopefully that will help.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826

After the terrible horrible day yesterday glad to say Wednesdaywas much much better.. After numerous attempts I got through to someone who said they would get things in motion and call me back. Waited hours and no call.Again today no call. Kept phoning.sent a text to the specialist nurse phone after phoning got me nowhere, and I was informed I would get a reply within 24 hours! Oh Boy!.
Another round of phone calls got through to clinic, phone rang and rang and rang and cut off unanswered after 4 minutes.. Waited till lunch time when clinics wouldnt be on and got sent through 3 people till I actually got the woman I talked to yesterday. She breezily said things were in progress and we would get the meds tomorrow or Saturday, and she had intended to call me tomorrow to inform me. Obviously was uninterested that I was anxious and needed info and reassurance without waiting 2 days for a reply. Later another much kinder nurse phoned me and says because we only have one dose left she is sending the meds out by whatever vehicle will be in our area tomorrow morning anytime after 8.30.So thats great so relieved That lady is definitely on my gratitudes list.
Once that was all sorted I could settle to some work. Started cleaning sitting room in small sections. Got all the paintwork, skirting boards and 3 doors all washed, the fireplace cleaned plus all the ornaments, the TV screen and glass television stand, the front window and the radiator. Then my son came and I had stiffened up by then so back not up to hoovering. Will do that tomorrow and put the tree and decorations up. Got all my cards done except I need one for husband, just get it at crnershop.Starting next week to batch cook a few meals. have some steak mince that will become chili con carne, mince and dumplings,a plate pie filling and a sort of curried dish with lots of peas carrots and spuds. Good old mince nothing more versatile. Also going to do some pulled beef for sandwiches and salad whenever I am too shattered to cook anything for me. But thats next week Sufficient to the day. I got a bit work done and am relieved the meds are coming so I am super happy.
Never opened a book yesterday, absolutely unheard of.Ruined my record streak on Goodreads of days in a row I read, streak, about 275 days I think ,shows how very rare it is not to read. .Shows how stressed I was. I have quite a few books on my TBR list for this month better get cracking or will be shamed before my reading groups. lol.
Its 10am but no sign yet of the meds. Good job I have one dose left
Right washer is on,going to hoover sitting room, and then haul boxes of decorations down from top of bedroom wardrobe. Take it slow and steady as I did a lot yesterday and am paying for it now. Not going to put streamers up,not fit to climb ladders. My decorations are getting more minimalist by the year lol.5 -
Is there a Nati*nwide branch near you @dustydigger as there are quite a few and I have found them to be helpful? It seems odd that they have moved your ISA without your permission
Dawn,Its nothing to do with Nati*nwide,ViRgIn have stopped having Isas now the two have merged and just chucked all of them over to *ctopus, and *ctopus wanted some docs for authenication (which I dont know how to send anyway),and that company is totally online only, cant pop in to a building and discuss things. With my poor hearing using the phone is a nuisance, and after an awful day yesterday making countless calls I am not up to calling them today.,maybe tomorrow.Washer has stopped off to start drying clothes indoors. Wind is almost a gale everything would blow away if I put them out .lol.6 -
Are you sick of scam calls like I am. Just got a call, cut off as I picked it up.Voicemail showed an american recorded voice claiming. Obviously abroad because they stared off with ''This is the NHS''. Said they required my doctors surgery information. As usual I checked up on Who Called Me? No alert about that particular number but over the last fortnight lots of people had inquired about 077761 numbers so take care.6

NSD # 5 for me today. Worked all day, then went to the Post Office after, but just with an Amaz*n return, so no cost. Didn't have to queue for too long.Washing dried a bit on the line, now on the airer.Leftovers for dinner with a jacket potato.Works get together tomorrow evening, so in the morning I will need to buy a few nibbles to take with me. Luckily it won't finish late!Still got a few small Christmas presents to buy. Better soon get it done!5

Hei hei! Sorry for tge long absence. Thank you for all the birthday wishes, fancy me being 50!!! Now on NSD#5
I had a lovely early birthday with 2 friends last Wednesday, which did include cake 😋
Friday was my staff do. Food wasn't brilliant, but a bit of dancing was done & a log of laughing. Stayed over at mum's, food shopping, then set up for 5 hour craft fayre. Luckily it was only 1 mile from home, so after freezing for 2 hours, I nipped home for thick tights & my knitting!
Had a lovely birthday, did shed a few tears in the morning, at one of my presents. At work, they'd secretly arranged it for the teaching staff to go outside at breaktime, so the support staff, janitor, etc could stay in & have cake 😋 the class sang happy birthday to me too.picked mum up after work, then we all (except DS2) went out for a meal at the hotel round the corner, where DS1 worked. Had asked for an extra setting for him. I didn't notice straight away, but when I ordered our drinks, they brought one for DS1 too ❤️ nearly cried again!
A bit stressed this afternoon, children not listening & practising for the play on Monday.
Grateful for chocolate, that it's nearly Friday & the kindness of othersUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Had a shocking night. Felt weak and frail all day yesterday and then it turns out I have a water infection.. Had a few fever alternating with chills episodes but nothing as bad as past infections. Was up to the loo no less than 7 times during the night so no sleep, barely had more than15 minute little naps.No chills etc this morning which is good.Did nothing whatsoever yesterday apart from some washing, got it all dry indoors quickly.Today it is bedding.
Very happy when Mr Ds meds were delivered at 1.30pm now have 4 months supply.
This morning all I have done is cancel some health supplements I subscribe to,but they are not doing much good as far as I can see and are very expensive.I was using something to help me sleep and it has been quite good. I normally get a solid 4 hours sleep am awake a couple of hours, and then have another 2-3 hours, but now Mr D is getting restless at night, twice I have found him sitting in the dark at 3am or is banging on my door at 6 am and I am too woozy to get up,so I need to be easily awoken,so no more meds. Back to dozing off during the day..But I will save £25 a month.
I am sitting here exhausted yawning repeatedly. Trying to pull myself together to put up the tree.Tree and 3 boxes of decorations have been lying around in the sitting room for 2 days now
Oh by the way my glasses fell down behind the bed during the night. Fortunately I have 2 pairs, because there is no way I'm going to even try to pull the heavy bed out from the wall in my state. It has a deep mattress and 4 drawers full of bedding. To move it I have to remove the drawers ,a lot of work. I am thinking of totally rearranging my bedroom so I can get round the bed on all sides. Dont know how many times books and glasses and meds have slid down the gap over the years and dragging the bed out is a nuisance.Wont get done for Xmas but definitely for Easter.A different December talked about changing habits etc and this is a necessary one I think.
