NST December 2025 A Different December

Brr, freezing fog here 

OH had a bad night again, with lots of coughing and little sleep. I went to the pharmacy and got him some more meds. If he hasn't improved by Friday he will have to go to see a doctor, as he has had these symptoms for almost a month.

Chilly dog walk (and another later this afternoon)

Quick clear up, and went to sort out my sales unit in advance of the shop reopening on Friday. I took nearly everything out. It is nearly all still in the car in boxes. I shall leave it there for now, but will have to bring it in and put it away at some stage 

Finished up some leftovers for lunch, and I will make a chicken pie for dinner.

Can't believe it is the last day of 2025!

Top two floors cleaned and hoovered, 4 beds stripped and remade. Laundry mountain growing, but slowly being processed.  Clean house (75%) for 2026. Bathroom sparkling.
Got paid today (finally!) NSD high double figures, not actually sure how many exactly. Oops. 
Another book read and in the CS bag last night, about 70 pages of another to go before that one is released - job for tonight. It is pretty awful to be fair.
Supper tonight is beans on toast because that is what we fancy.

Scrub Daddy scourer things - excellent for cleaning grubby sinks and surfaces - my new favourite thing .
Fairy lights for one last day. Tree comes down tomorrow.

Today I am grateful for the beautiful frost, for a good hands-free gym session to end the year, for Pip getting his PIP back payment into his account, for Pip staying over at a friend's house tonight, for being able to drive.

I am going to spend the evening writing in important dates / birthdays etc into my new calendar, and will be in bed way before midnight.

The chicken pie was yummy, used leeks and mushrooms from the L*dl box I got the other day, and there is plenty left for tomorrow 

It is very cold outside again (the dog keeps wanting to go out for some reason  )

Grateful for a warm house, nice food, and looking forward to 2026.
