@dustydigger -Sending many hugs. It sounds like what happened to my grandfather. He had a series of mini-strokes. When we watched "Hogan's Heroes", he tried to go on the roof to shoot down the Germans. And when we watched a show from England (he was in California), he kept trying to go home and wouldn't believe that was where he was. My mother and I took turns going over to spend the night for several years to help my grandmother cope. You probably need help. Don't be afraid to ask for it as it will wear you out too. If something happens to you, then what would happen. Take care. Especially if he gets dangerous at times.7

Sending gentle (((hugs))) and hoping you get things sorted sooner, rather than later. XXXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy5 -
Finally caught up with everyone's posts last night, wrote a post myself & my phone battery conked out! Sending hugs to all those that are poorly or in need of a hug. Congratulations on Pip's PIP & Mr A's resignation @apple_muncher.
Sorry ive not posted for ages, it wàs so busy leading up to the end of term, with lots of sewing in the evenings too. One night I sewed until 12.15am!! Note to self, if someone gives you a bag with a horse blanket in it, she really means 5 horse blankets & a dog coat....🤯
Christmas happened, not an easy time. Mum loved her memory bear, & DH the sign I'd managed to get that late DS1 had written on.
Went to DS's favourite beach yesterday. Can't believe he's been gone 7 months.
Today me & DH walked 5 miles. I've been tidying & sorting things out to donate. Also listed 2 things on V1nted & have sold them both. My first ever sales! Whoop whoop! 😀
Knitted another 10 rows of a poncho for a friend's big birthday later in the year.
Grateful for a nice walk, family time with DH & DS3 watching TV, clearer spaces.

Shopping today, not much needed but I did get a few reduced bargains to squirrel away. Also bought myself a couple of pairs of socks (needed) and some hair ties. Felt sorry for a mini Christmas tree that was reduced to £1.50. I brought it home, watered it, and will repot it once it has settled. It was in quite a pretty glass jardiniere thing which I will use for an indoor plant when the tree goes outside. The supermarkets were not very busy.2 chilly dog walks. OH most often does this, but although he is recovering, the cold air still makes him cough, so best if I do it for now. Dog doesn't seem to mind the cold, which is surprising given the fuss he makes about a few drops of rain
OH did some hooveringMade leek and potato soup (leeks and potatoes came from a L*dl veg box), currently waiting for it to cool down before it goes in the fridge. We finished off the curried parsnip soup for lunch. Love soup for lunch in winter!I did a few little jobs in the garden as the sun was shining. Didn't stay out for long though, as it was very cold.I used to love this time between Christmas and New Year when I was working full time, but must admit I find it a bit of a bore now. Having missed Christmas / family get togethers etc due to illness probably doesn't help. Looking forward to getting back to normal. Back to work on Friday, and I will go in to the shop on Thursday on my own to sort out and de-Christmas my sales unit. Can't believe there is only one more day of 2025!5 -
Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for a message from a friend, for another friend popping over, for my wrist feeling a bit better, for fairy lights.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Walked to the PO to send my two V1nted sales. Cleaned the inside of my car windscreen & topped it up with water. Spent the afternoon drawing up sheets for 2026 finances. Could've printed them off, but I have a HUGE amount of stationery to work through & not much printer ink, so did it this way instead. Arranged to go for a walk with a friend tomorrow & meet another one in the afternoon.
Grateful for the posting process for V1nted being straight forward, a late Xmas card with a photo of my cousins in America & their children, getting organised for a new yearUse it up, wear it out

Many many thanks to all who have participated this month - you are all winners. Thanks also to those who read along, sometimes comment and offer their support and experience. To everyone, everywhere I hope that 2026 will be happy, peaceful and productive (not neccessarily in 'worldly' terms) and we manage to resolve the problems caused by the bullies and dictators in the world.8
