Doggo had his checkup and is healing nicely, still no stairs and no walks, he is still in the cone of shame and needs to keep his stitches in for another week. This means I'm moving customers around next week to fit in when DH is allowed to work from home and will still be sleeping on the sofa, although DH did last night and says he will again tonight.

Biscuits were made yesterday morning and are disappearing quickly! 🤣 Cleaning job done yesterday and my 81yo customer told me that she would like to keep me in her wardrobe, she said she would make it comfy for me, so if you ever don't hear from me for a while, send help, please! 😅 Two cleaning jobs done this morning and then I'm going back out in an hour to a customer that i will help get her tea ready and a quick clean.

We had a morrisons shop delivered earlier in the week and there was a bit of drama as the driver had had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting a deer, this meant some of our stuff was damaged (coleslaw everywhere, other packaging broken open) and we had to reject it. This was fine as I've had a refund for those bits, but I'm now noticing that we are missing some bits, a tray must have been left in the van 🙄 Not sure if I'm too late to refund those, but need to try!

Unfortunately, I can no longer claim a refund for a couple of missing items from morrisons as the time frame has expired. Must make sure in future I do a check when putting things away.

I went to my customer yesterday to help get her her tea and do a bit of cleaning whilst there. I then popped into my parents house as they live opposite and my mum had some good news. A couple of months ago both me and my mum heard about a new drug being used for MS patients on the radio. She spoke to the doctor and MS department at the hospital and both weren't very helpful as to whether she would be a candidate for the new drug even though she said she would be happy to pay for it. Fortunately, my stepbrother works for the NHS and was able to give her name of a private clinic just outside of Cambridge. They went to see the neurologist at this clinic and although she would pay for it, which she is happy to do as she is able to, he believes she is an ideal candidate for it! She just needs an ECG this week to make sure she is all ok to do so. The drug, if effective shows a positive impact with mobility in MS patients within a couple of weeks! Now we just need to cross our fingers that her ECG is fine and that the drug works for her 🤞🤞🤞

Is it worth ringing M's customer service and being cheeky - you can say you were put off by the damages to the other stuff - you shouldn't have to pay for items received.

Thanks both, we're hoping it will help her walk a bit better and be able to stand for longer. DH asked if it works would she be able to start making her millionaires shortbread again! 🤣

Today I am on preventing dog from getting the cone of shame off and licking stitches watch until DH gets home from work later. I then have a docs appointment and a 2hr cleaning job. This morning I've hoovered, mopped and done some damp dusting. I've also cleaned a window cill that had some stains on which I've managed to get out with some cream cleaner (god I love cream cleaner 🤣). I think I'll make some flapjack this afternoon.

I had a terrible night sleep last night. Dog 1 seemed to have opened his stitches a little, so I struggled to sleep on the sofa and was worried about him, especially as he was fidgety and digging at his blankets constantly to get comfy! DH took him to the vets this morning to be checked and thankfully all is well, they gave it another clean and we have some more antibiotics. He has another check on Friday and then we're hoping he can still have the stitches out on Tuesday. What a nightmare!

Anyway, I haven't done a lot today as I was too tired, so just putting the dishwasher on and washing up a few pans was enough. I did go to two cleaning jobs once DH had got home from work and got home for 7pm. We then had a nice easy tea of a pizza.
