Thanks both x DH slept on the sofa last night and I slept in our bed. I slept like a log! I felt a lot better this morning although still worn out from the stress and worry of dog 1. His cut looks better today, so fingers crossed he's on the mend.
Another morning of not doing a lot, starting to feel a bit guilty about it which is silly really, especially after working so much for the past couple of years, i think I can rest a bit now. I have 3 hours of cleaning to do this afternoon and should be home by 6pm. DH is working from home this afternoon so will supervise dog 1. I've chased up dog 1s insurance claim with the vet and they've advised they have now sent the breakdown of costs to the insurance company, so hopefully we'll hear back from them soon with some good news. I also had to ring the insurance company to cancel the renewal for dog 2. We made a claim at the beginning of this year, not even £2k of her £6k allowance and they have doubled the premium for this year! No thanks, I'll find cheaper elsewhere!
I received my last payslip from old work for the three days I was there at the beginning of August and I also got a tax rebate so that'll be a nice amount to receive on Friday. I am anxious about making enough money to cover my half of the bills even though DH could cover all the bills on his own wage if needed and I'm only a few hours a week short, just stressing over nothing really. I wish I could turn that off! 😅

Good news! My mum's ECG was all good and she has been prescribed the new drug! 🥳 Unfortunately, they didn't have any in the clinic pharmacy, so it has been ordered in and it will be posted to her. She will then have 4 weeks on the drug and then a check up to see how its going. It's meant to take affect quickly, so if does work for her, she should expect to see a difference within 2 weeks. 🤞
Bad news. The children of my oldest customer have told me they do not need me three times a week anymore (i go Tues, Thurs and Sat to help get her a meal and to clean), and only need me once a week now. Not sure what has changed and it is a bit disappointing, but not a lot I can do. I have advertised on Facebook again, so hope to generate some business from that.

Fab news about your mum Jessy, fingers crossed it helps her!
Do you advertise on Nextdoor? I’m sure you’ll find someone to replace her soon - perhaps one of the children is able to take on more of the care themselves?

I predict that they'll come back with grovelling apologies once they realise how much you do @Jessy103! But by then you'll have lovely new customers and won't be able to go back to the old pattern. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx
