Well, not a good day yesterday. I got up off the sofa yesterday morning after eating my porridge and looked over at Dog 1, he had a large gash in his back leg! There had been no squeal and I could not find a blood trail so absolutely no idea how he did it! I had to call DH and tell him to come home so he could take him to the vets. He was there all day and over £900 later, DH picked him up at 7pm last night. I had to sleep on the sofa as he is not allowed to go upstairs with his stitches. I did not sleep well, neither did poor doggo. He has had his breakfast this morning though and his medication. He is in the cone of shame, so bumping into everything and he is only allowed on lead walks around the garden to go toilet. Not a great time to happen with trying to get into my new work schedule and with getting puppy! Blooming animals!

I have one cleaning job today which is my grandad, so thankfully I can go do that after DH comes home later on. Worried about what to do when I need to go out tomorrow and Friday which are two of my busiest days, so my anxiety is through the roof. Just have to hope he doesn't pull of his cone off and lick the stitches 😔

Oh no, poor doggy 🙁! Not very helpful when you have no idea how it happened, as you can't make sure it won't happen again! Is there any chance of taking him with you on your jobs, even if it's only to a few of them so you're not leaving him for so long? Or maybe re-arranging them so that you go at the weekend and DH can stay home with him (I know not ideal 🙁)

Poor dog! And poor you (and ouch and sympathies on the vet’s bill 😬)! Or can you put a gap in between your jobs so you can pop back and check on him? Could he be crated?

Thanks all x DH has got a laptop from work and is working from home when I'm going out to my cleaning jobs and I've rearranged a few jobs to the weekend. We'll get through it! Unfortunately, the large crate we have which i would put him in when we are out is being used to put puppy in when we are out as she is still a bit chewy! Just terrible timing unfortunately! I have put in a claim to the insurance this morning, so hopefully we'll get near £700 back if all goes through.

I should say doggo is doing well and he has a checkup tomorrow 🤞

I've been to a new customer this morning. Lovely older lady that is suffering from cancer, so is struggling to do cleaning jobs, she wanted her kitchen worktops doing, so managed to do those, the tiles and wipe all the cupboard doors down and then a bit of hoovering, i think she was pleased and I'm booked in again for next week 😀

I've rearranged two jobs tomorrow to Saturday, so DH will go into the office and I think i will do some baking, DH wants the biscuits that i made the other day again, so I will do those.

oh no poor doggo, i hope it heals up quickly and your new work routine can go back to normal. Those biscuits look lovely, I think I should get baking its been ages, but then I tend to scoff them!! So maybe i shouldnt!! 😂
