Had a nice week - shopping trip with my mum, met a friend for coffee and had other friends over for lunch.
Hopefully the roofer can start in about 4 weeks. My bedroom is so nearly unpacked and decluttered. We're getting there!
Spendy spends in the past week were £237. Couple of pay day splurges in there but all within respective budgets.
£57 food; £49 personal spends (shopping); £41 petrol; £36 eating/going out: £29 school costs: £20 DS allowance; £10 cat food; £5 team treats after a stressy deadline day.
Have a great weekend MFWs!

3 mortgage payments down, 321 to go! AND I've started overpaying! 🥳 Just a £10 monthly standing order for now (I'm celebrating all the small wins) but I'm thinking I'll increase that in £10 increments every time I hit a savings goal.
Elsewhere, another lovely week. Dinner with a friend and a spa day with my closest friends (spa day paid for last month).
Spendy spends were £152: £51 food, £29 cat supplies, £27 petrol, £25 going out, £20 school costs.

Another week has flown by. Extra special because it was DS's birthday 🥰 He's a cracking kid, growing into a fine young man.
Spending wise, I spent about £300/£400 birthday budget, so have some more treats planned for DS in half term. Otherwise, I spent £210 on variables - including £60 on some vile tasting pro-biotics recommened by a Dr, lol. Either they're good or I'm a fool! We shall see.
£60 supplements, £56 food etc., £37 petrol, £18 cardi for work, £17 take out, £15 school dinners, £7 car wash.
Happy weekend MFWs!

It looks like you have only spent on essentials not a bad spend, and everyone needs a new cardi, some more then others. you have to treat yourself sometime. Impressive actually I would love to get my spend down like that, actually the thought of having regular funds has actually made me a bit more sensible, I needed batteries and Allen key in town, and that is all I bought. It was a horrific journey up the hill, never mind. It is done nowXX

Thanks @CrazyBee787 I'm quite lucky that I do enjoy my contented little life and generally don't get splurge urge much. Sometimes I do, we're only human, and like you say we deserve a treat every now and again.
Traipsing up and down a hill in this weather is rough! Hope you're fully warmed up with a brew now 😊 x

Yes, well not a brew I am not really tea/ cofee drinker, but I have a glass of water and I did sneak some chocolate! Feeling much better now. Thank you. By the way the weather not too bad here, it was just a treacherous climb with my overly sized body! Enjoy the rest of your day. BeeXX

(For outside readers we are giving up chocolate for lent)
Hi MPH, Have you taken every last bit of chocolate out of the house, how are you managing on day one, you can be honest no judgement. I am going to take over some smarties I have left over to a young girl who lives just over the way, my mum was upset that I forgot to take the chocolate to hers!! Anyhow I will keep the chocolate Nesquik I have left, not much there I will just keep it out of sight, and the cocoa for cakes and hot chocolates has been hidden a way for a bit so no need to move those. There is coco pops which I am off of so I will give those to the young girl as well. Good luck on day one we will be >2% of the way there when today is done with. XX.
A few minutes later… I dropped off nesquik coco pops and smarties, I decided the nesquik was too tempting! The young girl will be pleased, her mum was happy and wished me luckXX
