Had a nice river walk & lunch last weekend and a lovely mothers' day with DS, mum & sibling. I've treated myself to a 4-day week so have today off to enjoy the sun if if stays 🙏

MSE-wise, my car got through it's MOT & service with no work required (that comes out of my fixed costs budget). Spendy spends were £239: £61 food, £49 petrol, £30 gift, £25 eating out, £25 school, £25 clothes, £11 compost, £7 car wash, £6 book.

Pay day! 🥳 Highlights this month have been:

• Hosting friends at my house, which has become the meeting point because of its location - unforeseen bonus!
• Meal kit subscription - I'm trying out one of the two, well-known meal kit subscriptions with an introductory offer. Hoping I'll learn some new recipes to add to my limited repertoire.
• Spring walks - I love it when the days start getting longer and warmer 🌞

Still working towards a 1-month EF.

New savings totals:

FIRE: £62 -> £74 (plus pension pots)

EF: £2210/£2600

I have not been keeping up with my list of spends but we are over half way through the pay month and I have spent less than half of my spendy budget, so I must be doing ok. This includes a deposit for a campervan I have hired for a road trip in the summer hols with DS 💕

House-wise, I have continued with my teeny OPs and have bought a full length mirror for my bedroom. I'm now 5 mortgage payments down, 319 to go!

Pay day! 🥳 Highlights this month have been:

• Starting at a new church, close to my new house. Feels good to be enjoying fellowship again 🙏
• Giving myself something to look forward to - booked some time off in the summer hols and hired a campervan ✌️
• Getting a 1-month EF back in place. Big mental milestone 🎉 I have upped my mortgage OPs to £20 per month 🥰

Next savings goal is braces for DS. Our dentist won't accept him onto the waiting list until his next birthday, and then the waiting list is nearly 2 years long! So we'll probably end up going private. There are payment plans, but I'll see what I can cobble together upfront.

FIRE: £74 -> £80 (plus pension pots)

EF: £2600/£2600

DS braces: £63/£3000
