    Pay day! 🥳 I'm now 6 mortgage payments down, 318 to go! Monthly overpayments are £20.

    I've had to drop the savings goal for DS's braces as our computer needs to be replaced, like, now. I'll have to rely on payment plans for DS's braces when the time comes.

    I've put slightly less into savings overall this month (£350) as I'm keeping some cash in the bank for a mini break in the half term. To that end, I'm on annual leave for a week after today and can't wait!

    New savings totals:

    ISA: £80 -> £92 (plus pension pots)

    Computer: £417/£2600

    Pay day! 🥳 Highlights this month have been:

    - Mini-break to London. We almost saw the show we went to see - it was stopped part way through due to a fault in the fire alarm system! We have the option to go back on another date.

    - Beach with friends. Some friends came to stay for a couple of days and the weather held beautifully for us ⛱️

    - No more revision. At least for now. I sat what I hope will be my final exam for a professional qualification. I have to wait 2 months for the results but in the meantime I plan to just forget about it and enjoy summer ☀️

    New savings totals:

    ISA: £92-> £95

    Computer: £921/£2600

    Pay day! 🥳 Highlights this month have been:

    • -Sunny evenings - catching up with friends or just enjoying a walk along the estuary ☀️
    • -WSBK - Donington always puts on a great show 🏁
    • Reading a 10/10 book - The Colour by Rose Tremain. It's about newlyweds who emigrate to New Zealand and get caught up in the gold rush. Absolutely fantastic. So much so, in fact, that I had to wait a bit before starting my next book!

    New savings totals:

    ISA: £95-> £104

    Computer: £921 -> £1427/£2600

    Well done on qualification. Blimey, braces are expensive now.

    My daughter didn’t qualify for NHS braces, but will need them in her 30s if we didn’t do it now. £3000 later she has a beautiful smile. It was a painful, unexpected expense. I paid it up in stages.

    Thanks @AgathaSquirrel 😊

    We've got some flexibility with payments too - I can pay off in chunks each time I go which is really good. DS is really keen to get on with it bless him. The earlier the better really x

    Another month gone 🎃

    It's been a wild ride this month with all sorts of things going on including, sadly, a bereavement.

    MSE-wise I have lost track of budgeting this month, but I know it's been expensive!

    • I upgraded my professional subscription, which I pay myself
    • 2 new tyres
    • A £500 deposit for a health-related thing which I've decided to go private for
    • Car insurance, which I pay in full at renewal.

    I've dipped into savings and then rejigged them. Not much moving around in terms of bank accounts, more what they are allocated to on my spreadsheet. Mortgage overpayments are still at £20 per month and I'm still contributing a good old whack into my DC pension (daren't look at how it's performing this month, mind) so it's not all bad.

    Medium-term goals:

    • Holiday abroad - £0/£3,000
    • Gaming PC - £1,020/£2,500
    • DS braces - £1500/£4,150
    • EF - £1,522/£5,000
    • Still to go: £10,608!
