    Ok, so not that, then.
Yes, that's what I was referring to too; that gap should be open, as it acts as the 'weep'.

I can only speculate. It's possible that the window frame was bedded down on a thick bead of sealant further in under there where it can't be seen, but is still blocking the water's route out - who knows. Or that the gap between the frame and cill is too large, so wind is able to blow water all the way through.
This is why you need an impartial expert to have a look, and for that, guidance from your LP.
I think you'd be nuts to try and sort this yourself, and the moment you start, the installer can - with some justification - claim, "You've messed it up..."

I’m not touching it as it is.. I said I would sort the cosmetic issues - this is not. I’m getting the fitter to come back out. No money is being paid until it’s sorted.

So woke up to this morning to find this.. obviously not enough silicone on the outside but also is it normal for rain water to literally dissolve away the acrylic sealant? I mentioned earlier how it didn’t feel like it has set properly

I thought they came back and redid the inside silicone days or a couple of weeks ago?

    Or was this re-re-done again?

    Not looking good either way.

Window fitters are supposed to be registered with FENSA or self certify their work with Building Control I believe.
    ...
As stuart45 mentioned much earlier in the thread, CERTASS is the equivalent of FENSA in terms of building regulation certification.  FENSA membership isn't compulsory.

    Thanks. I missed that.

It’s definitely not normal, but the rainwater should never reach there anyway if the outside was properly sealed.
