Got home about an hour ago so cracked on with washing / hoovering and mopping downstairs. Lovely coffee and catch up with friend. No plans for the rest of the day so should be NSD number 2 of the week today🤞🏼 Im craving a roast at the moment with this cold weather so will grab all the bits in town on Friday and have a nice roast on Sunday. We have 3 Gousto meals left for the week so that’s tonight/Thursday and Friday sorted. Hubby mentioned going out for a meal on Saturday evening if any of the older boys are around to watch DS3 for a couple of hours….I need to ask them. If not I’ll probably just grab pizzas and sides for Saturday so it’s a nice, quick meal.
Off to dry the second load of washing and then put the white wash on…..

    Managed another NSD ☺️
had a lovely prawn dish for dinner, still really enjoying the Gou$to boxes and finding it’s definitely saving us money. No more sending hubby to the chip shop on his way home from work!!

We've been using the g0ust0 boxes this week Sammie and it's been nice to not have to think about what's on the menu for tonight I just choose a card each day as I go to cook it. Today's was a bit of a disaster though as the mushrooms were completely furry and the buns we had were rock hard 🙈 the other ones have been good though. I think we've got one left for this week and then next box is due at the weekend. I think I'll probably pause them after I've used all the discounted ones though 😉😁.

Yes it definitely makes a difference not having to think about meals throughout the week.
That’s a shame about your ingredients, now you’ve mentioned that though the carrots we got this week weren’t ‘great’ I’m wondering if they had a back log of ingredients from Christmas/New Year they couldn’t shift so we’ve ended up with them this week? 🤔
Have you noted the problems on their website/app? I have found that the couple of times I’ve been missing ingredients they will take money off my next order….or you could probably ask for a refund if you are not wanting to order anymore boxes?

Had a message to say DS3’s school is shut today as they have no heating…..he had already been picked up by his taxi driver and was half way there 🫣 luckily after a quick phone call he was on his way home again (without a meltdown or anxiety so that’s a win) waiting to hear when they will reopen.
So I’ve changed my plans and now staying in again today.
DS1 is working and DS2 is working from home so I’ll just potter around (quietly!) and hopefully read some of my book on my kindle. If I can make today a NSD that will be 3 in a row this week 🎉 very much needed after Christmas!

Didn’t manage a NSD yesterday as I needed to pay DS3’s tracker subscription for another 3 months. No other spends apart from that.
School closed again today but have been set home learning. Maths and theory food tech this morning then makaton and English after lunch break!
I did need to get out today for some food bits but I might have to go this evening or tomorrow morning as won’t have time now.

Didn’t manage to get out yesterday so that was NSD3 of the week.
Hubby popped out this morning and on the way back grabbed some bacon and rolls for a late breakfast 🤤 hoping to go out this evening for a meal so definitely won’t be a NSD!
Would still like to cook a roast tomorrow but still don’t have anything for it so I’m thinking we could pop into A!di after our meal and get everything then.

Had a lovely meal, we did book at our local carvery but the food didn’t look great to be honest so we ditched that and went for a curry instead. Also went into A!di and picked up everything for a roast tomorrow. Quite a spendy day; hubby spent £12.35 at the shop this morning, £58 meal out and £17.49 at A!di.
If I can manage a NSD tomorrow then that will number 4 of the week. 🤞🏼

Gou$to box will be delivered tomorrow so that next week’s meals sorted, just a normal top up shop will be needed at some point.

    Yay…NSD4 today.
Had a very lazy day though 😏
cooked a roast then sat down (big mistake!) have just dragged myself from the sofa to clean kitchen and do some washing (put some on and put dry clothes away) apart from that nothing else achieved today!
Need to run DS3 a bath in a min, he’s back to school tomorrow as they now have heating and hot water again.
Meeting a friend at Co$ta tomorrow, she’s had a lot of personal things going on at the moment so going through a bit of a rough time. Be nice to see her and hopefully coffee and cake will help.

Total spends today - £16.87 on coffee and cake for me and friend.
We had a look around Mata!an afterwards but I resisted buying anything even though they had some lovely home bits in!
Tomorrow will be a spendy day as I have nail and massage appointment's.
We had chicken tikka kisses fries from Gou$to this evening which was delicious 😋 and very filling. Trying to lay off the chocolates and biscuits in the evening now as I can feel I’ve put on weight and jeans are a bit tight! Whoops.
