No need to justify some fun treats! We earn the money we should be able to treat ourselves every now and then 😉
I got a refund for three ingredients in the end on the g0ust0 box and the credit came off this week's box (due tomorrow) so nice cheap box again. I'm running out of money off on them though so not sure whether to cancel when that happens.
Well done on all the lists! 😁Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

Thank you! I find I can become ‘obsessed’ with overpaying or saving as much as I can then feel like I’ve failed when I purchase something for me! But you’re right, no need to justify it.debtfreewannabe321 said:No need to justify some fun treats! We earn the money we should be able to treat ourselves every now and then 😉

Well done on all the lists! 😁That’s great you got a refund for ingredients, I’ve always found them good with that.I pay full price for my boxes now 🙁 but for me it still saves money as I was able to easily twist hubbys arm for a takeaway if I didn’t want to cook or hadn’t been shopping. We very rarely have takeaways now, used to be 3 times a week at times 🫣 everybody’s different though so what is cost effective for one isn’t always for the other.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

This weekend we’ve been decorating DS3’s room. Hubby has been saving for this in his account, spent £100 in paint (same colour as our lounge so have more than enough left over to freshen that up too)
£98 on curtains, £19 on new prints for his frames and £36 on a new bedding set.Luckily hubby over budgeted and we had £45 left so we topped up the petrol in car.Really pleased with how his room turned out, it’s now has the ‘older boy’ vibe I was going for but still cosy. DS3 couldn’t care less 🤣 he was more interested in his new sensory jelly fish lamp more than anything!Just need to pop prints in frames today and then we are done.I’ve now got the itch to do more though which is never good for hubby! To be far nothing big needs doing as we’ve done it all but I would like our hallway repainted (3 story so he won’t be impressed!)
Gou$to arriving today for the week so need to clean out fridge beforehand.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Hey Sammie, that sounds like a highly budgeted room change, well done for keeping costs low, you did good doing yourself or between you. Very MSE. Enjoy Gousto. XX1

Back from dropping DS2 at uni and food shopping.Spent £49.56 in A!di.Have a friend popping over at 12ish for a catch up so need to crack on with daily jobs then have a teams meeting this afternoon with DS3’s child psychologist and speech and language therapist. My plum rounds have come out today and I managed to save £38 last week. Will split that between the mortgage 2027 overpayment and mortgage product fee pots.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Went out with a friend today and she kindly treated me to a Toby Carvery! 😋
Made it home in time to do a couple of house jobs, waited for DS3 to come home in the taxi then cracked on with dinner, I was obviously not hungry at all!Need to pop into town at some point as DS2 wants us to have treats for The Traitors final on Friday! Also need to grab a couple of birthday cards. I’d better write a list so I don’t forget anything……
Today was a NSD. Payday Friday too 🙌🏼🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000

Another NSD yesterday.Think that’s only 2 this week but better than 0!DS3 is off to his sensory group for 2 hours this morning then we have friends over for dinner and a murder mystery game this evening. Think we’ve all agreed on a Chinese for tonight, we have bottles of wine we were gifted at Christmas so should just be cost of takeaway for our spends today.🏡Mortgage July 2019 - £240,000
