- A very good Wednesday Potter's! I hope everyone had a very good weekend and is enjoying the week ahead.
To all those feeling poorly or low in spirits in any way, take care of yourselves and get well very soon.Meanwhile, love from us all here at SPC❤️
Just the job ThriftyPrincess40! You're doing really well.
Another brilliant amount LM
Ah ships that pass in the night and don't even know it Ant. I wonder, whilst shopping, if any of us have been alongside another potter, another case of ships which unknowingly pass in the night.I do envy you having your feet in a paddling pool to cool yourselves down, T & I must get one to do the same. Very well done with your few more pounds potted!
Very well done with your YouGov Vicky! I've had quite a few £50s whilst doing their surveys, but it seemed ages before I reached the pay outs so I decided to give it up a couple of years ago.I think we're all a LOT closer to a million, but... somehow doubt many if any of us will ever reach it. 😂Well potted Tattypud, even the 10p found by hubby.
The term of us being a family is a lovely way to describe us Siju, I've always loved that description of us. 😀 I'm so pleased you've had a quieter week and I certainly hope your throat feels much better now.Very good work with another £5er in the pot! Keep safe and healthy.
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone and take care and keep hydrated!!

Evening all. Cooling down here finally, although I'm still running the bedroom fan all night and sleeping under a sheet rather than the duvet.
Plum has saved me £56.04 this month and my virtual pot is already very healthy which I'm very pleased about.
So where was I? Oh yes, seeing Def Leppard on the 30th June. Brilliant, although Emma had an anxiety attack and unfortunately had to leave early. It was a bit odd and unexpected, but she does have a medical condition. Usually we would book the end of the row but because another friend had booked, they unfortunately landed us in the middle of a row and I think that set her off worrying (even though her condition is very well managed by an implant) about having to disturb people if necessary.
The week after that I was away with my mum in Lincolnshire for a few nights. In a caravan, in a heatwave… why the heck not??? 😂 We were at Tattershall Lakes which is next door to RAF Coningsby and they were doing night flying (3.30pm-midnight/1.00am). I'm a nerd so I love it and I've got a ridiculous number of photos of aircraft!. Due to our location in the holiday park, as the crow flies we were literally across a short field from the end of the runway, so when the wind changed direction and they were taking off away from us it was LOUD. DH and I go there every year now, but our week in October just misses a night flying week. Arguably it was moneysaving because my mum paid for the trip - no reason to, I was expecting to go halves with her but she insisted. We went into Skegness for a day, and for fish & chips, but apart from that we ate salads and fruit all week! We got there and back and travelled around on one tank of petrol (including having the A/C on all the time) although as the price of fuel had dropped I did fill back up when I got home.
That's it for the time being. Nothing else planned apart from a couple of afternoons out drinking for birthdays over the summer.

Not sure I can match you for street cred when it comes to concerts @MrsShazbat BUT I have seen the mighty Wurzels live though. Bet not many on here can say that 🤪 “Thy cheeks bin gettin’ redderr, from Charterhouse to Chedderrr”……They don’t write them like that any more! 😀
I don’t think I’ve ever been to Lincolnshire. Interesting again how we all move in different circles.
Found myself another penny of roadkill for the pot. Almost feel acclimatised to this heat now, but so looking forward to cooler days and a bit of rain.

Two more excellent amounts LMD!!!🤗
... and yet another lot potted LMD !!! 🤗
Cooler for the weekend MrsShazbat, but for how long? Thankfully, we've got windows both sides of our bedroom - as long as there's a breeze! 🙄 This is all starting to remind me of what I can remember from 1976. 🥵 That was a wicked heat and relentless for, could this be another? I sincerely hope not!!
Well done with Plum! Your poor friend while you were watching Def Leppard! As for holidays in caravans during a heatwave, we've done it once - never again! 🥵I too loved The Wurzels Ant, brilliant, 'Thy cheeks bin getting redder from Charterhouse to Cheddar' was excellent, as was 'Oh I've got a brand new combine 'arvester'!! 🤗 They were fantastic! Another of mine and T's favourites was dear Acker Bilk, not quite so much for his jazz, but for 'Stranger on the Shore' and so very many more ballad type ones. We saw him at Strode Theatre, Street, absolutely amazing, comical too! We have a beautiful framed photo of the whole group that Acker sent us, really beautiful and so thoughtful too!
Well done with your 1p from the fairies! You're almost acclimatised to this heat??! That's something T & I will never be. 🥵 I always watch a live programme from the Met Office on a Friday and yesterday (catch up) Alex did say look out for the end of next week and things improving!!! 😀 Our dear friend who passed away in April gave me 2 Lewiskia plants several years ago and this year one had 20 gorgeous flowers on, but sadly they've gone over already, due to the heat! 😢 Very very sad. Bring on the rain please 🙏😱- Enjoy what's left of the weekend folks, I hope you all enjoy/ed a wonderful one. Enjoy the week ahead

Another warm week here although it is slightly cooler, I do hope everyone is not suffering too much 🌞 I keep getting bitten so thought I'd try a product to keep bugs away but unfortunately I've had a reaction to it and have a rash on my arms and legs 😒 Add to that a sore foot from knocking a stool over and blistered knees from crawing around in the attic trying to make extra space because our DS, DIL and children will soon be living with us while they wait for their house purchase to go through. I am in the wars as they say!
Another fiver in the pot this week, definitely hoping things can only get better 😉

Ooh dear not quite the best week for you by the sounds of it Siju. Another warm week at all, but certainly a little cooler thankfully.Though what a time for all those poor folk in France, Italy and especially those poor souls in Spain!!! 😱 With so many thousands being evacuated it makes you wonder where on earth they've been able to go! I know holidaymakers will have come home, but it does make you wonder about the rest!!
Any idea of what you've been bitten by? As if that wasn't enough, but to have then had a reaction to whatever it was you tried to soothe the skin with just about adds insult to injury! Then knocking your foot on a stool as well as blistering your knees while making room for your family's bits and bobs while they wait for their house purchase to go through - I suggest that meanwhile you either stay in bed or just sit tight so you keep out of any further trouble! 😉 IF we're lucky we might get a splash of rain (or as they often say 'spits and spots' through tonight, I do hope so as it's badly needed down here. 🤞
Well done with the potted fiver and do take great care of yourself. 😘£25 transferred to the SPC account.
