Hello, I'm still potting. My monthly direct debit that goes in is now at £450 towards Christmas and I also managed to pot £1 in cash! Had a bit of a hard time recently including an unexpected bereavement. Glad it's a bit cooler now as it was impossible to get out exercising which is obviously what I needed for my mental health; I did get out on a run on Monday morning and planning another tomorrow.

Apologies for the radio silence. A bit of light potting has taken place, and we're now back up to speed! A bit of cashback here, a sweep of the bank accounts there, and I reckon I've potted about £100 of there abouts.

@MrsShazbat - I was at Take That on the very same evening! I was incredibly hot after an incredibly hot day in school, and I did say to my friend that I wasn't sure that I'd survive. Then again, I wasn't one of the ones on stage dressed in black dancing as though it were the 1990s. They were simply AMAZING and put on such a great show.

Hi all Potters! I hope you're enjoying, or not, our third heatwave! Enjoy the rest of the week

    • I hope everyone is well and not too low in spirits. However, if you're not feeling well in any way, do get very
    • well soon!
    • Meanwhile, however you're feeling get well soon, and for now, love and virtual hugs from us all here at SPC ❤️

Bless you for your very kind words Ant, though in all fairness you're exactly the same as me and it's in your very good nature to always look on the good side of any situation, or anyone else's and help anyone who's suffering through and let them know that the like as not the sun always follows on after the very cloudy skies have passed over. I put it down to the wonderful lady who was responsible for the majority of my upbringing, no doubt yours is much for same reason. We are blessed, and me with my beloved T, God bless him. ❤️

Well, here we are in our third heat already and we've still a good while to go of summer yet, but there's nothing we can do about it apart from KEEP SAFEHYDRATED AND IN THE SHADE!!! I'll certainly be doing that alright as I'm still suffering with the sciatica and it's a real pain. We were going away for a few days, but thankfully decided against it.
Well done with your continued potting Ant, plus anything the fairies may have dropped in front of you! 😅

I'm pleased you and your friend enjoyed Take That, MrsShazbat, a great group, though I think I'd have forgone plans for any visit to London or anywhere else in that wicked heat!!

Oh my word Siju! What a lark you must have had with the cows, calves and bull - and at night time too!! I bet your farmer friend was pleased given he'd purposely moved them from the field you kindly put them in to!! 😂Still, your intentions were honourable for sure. 😂

Your poor F-I-L, little wonder he was having breathing problems given the heat and all the humidity. You were extremely wise not have gone with them given the nasty throat infection you had and the loss of your voice. I hope it's getting a lot better for you now,  a few good night's sleep will do you the world of good. 😴So good to hear your FIL is safely home and recovering now. Let's hope he soon recovers. Good potting too! Keep well!!

    Well potted FrugalPrincess40!!

Hello Hetty, excellent work on having £450 saved towards Christmas! So very sorry to hear about the unexpected bereavement you've had, very sad indeed to lose a loved one. We've also had 2 losses very close by, both due to cancer. One a very dear friend was only 59, very sad.

    Very well potted LMD!!

Brilliant potting Vicky!! 😅I'm pleased you also enjoyed Take That, but in the heat and humidity, no way! 🥵 Take care in the current heat wave!!

Enjoy a really good week, folks, and DO BE CAREFUL IN THIS HEAT, PLEASE!

I love how this challenge represents how varied we all are. On one hand you have @VickyA_2 and @MrsShazbat potentially unknowingly crossing paths at a Take That concert. On the other hand we have @siju trying to herd cows outside her house!

Thoughts with you too @Hettyhound after your sad and unexpected bereavement. Life sure is precious.

Stay comfortable in the heatwave people. We’ve been in the paddling pool tonight to try to cool down, and I’ve potted a few more pounds.

Amazing where our paths take us, @AntoMac , you're absolutely spot on!

Another £50 from YouGov duly potted, took a good 6 months to save it up, but it all gets added to the pot. Then a "sweep" of my account (ie rounding down to the nearest £5) means I've potted £1.71! Even closer to £1m now… 🤣

    Hey everyone.

Potted 60p this week and 10p of this was found by my hubby just outside the doors of a hotel we stayed in recently.

So very true @AntoMac, we are such a diverse family 😍. It always makes for interesting reading. I've had a much quieter week this week......

Potting my usual five pounds this week. Stay safe and well in the heat 🌞
