I made a formal complaint to eToro yesterday, and posted a further negative review on Trustpilot.
I got an email at 07:30 saying I could withdraw my money, although my account remains restricted.
I also had a final response to my complaint this afternoon. The supervisor reviewing my complaint spent an entire 17 minutes on it (from the time of his initial acknowledgement to the time of his final response). He didn't address any of the points I had raised about the dreadful customer service, the delays, or why they selected my account for special scrutiny. I will be complaining to the FOS.
(I wasn't awarded free shares, but my complaint relates solely to the time it took to get my money back and the poor customer service.)1 -
The irony is that multiple users are subsequently successfully gaming it and immediately withdrawing more than they deposited, without any bank account verification! I wouldn't be fussed if I needed to leave the £5K for 90 days and fully comply with the t&c until winding it up. If I got the welcome bonus shares that I was promised.Nick_C said:I made a formal complaint to eToro yesterday, and posted a further negative review on Trustpilot.

For me the front line staff so far have been amiable but they have no authority to rectify anything directly.
It seems to me that the key issue is that they bypass proper verification to onboard users asap, and only apply the stringent verification/blocks if something happens out of the very ordinary (in my case use two bank accounts). ML checks should only really kick in if your are withdrawing to different accounts, or more than originally deposited.0 -

I have some sort of an unexplained block on the Everyday offers, both at Lloyds and at Halifax. The “try again in a bit” hasn’t been working for several months.kippo1 said:Thanks for the heads up on the etoro offer
don't know if this is in the right place but i'll post it anyway
if you have a lloyds account activate everyday offers
"You could win up to £1,000 cash with Everyday Offers:
• 5 prizes of £1,000
• 100 prizes of £50
Prize draw closes at 23:59 on 31 January 2026. Winners will be drawn within 7 days of the closing date and notified by letter. One entry and one prize per customer."I suspect I must have been awarded a restriction for having too many Reward accounts etc etc 😂Thank you for the heads up anyway

Having looked at this closer, Quilter are only offering a VERY restricted number of funds/shares with their ISA product, so I'm giving that a miss as well. It's only £200 and I'd rather stick with my pseudo-whole-of-market platforms.artyboy said:
Thanks, might give Quilter a go. Revolut feels like scraping the barrel a bit, but then I guess I've been spoilt with all those 4 figure pension xfr offers!OwnedByACat said:Deposit or transfer at least £1,000 into a Quilter Invest ISA and get 2% cashback (up to a maximum of £200 cashback for a £10,000 deposit). I haven't explored this properly either. Do you have to create and account to view the range of funds/shares? I would likely transfer £10k if VEVE to get the 2% but barely seems worth it once fees taken into account.artyboy said:

For simplicity, transferring the whole lot to Freetrade for a year to get 1% seems like the best time/cost decision.0 -
I can work with the restricted range of ETFs but I'd need an ISA transfer complete by 31 Jan, which is just too tight for comfort even as cash only.artyboy said:
