I have seen here that there is a £200 shares payout on eToro for a £2500 - £4999 investment using a link from this site (link below).  Has anyone seen this elsewhere or successfully got the £200?

    https://www.theinvestorscentre.co.uk/reviews/etoro-review-uk/does-etoro-offer-free-shares-in-the-uk/

Read the previous pages. Lots of people including me received c.£500
    Thanks 😊

Unfortunately I don't have £5k but I can raise £2.5k.  I might go for it anyway.  I just wondered if anyone else had.
Should be the same process 🤓
Yes, exactly the same process. I transferred a lower amount too. Got the shares straight away and withdrew my original investment. Only issue is that I requested to withdraw the extra (i e. from the free shares) and it has yet to land in my account.

Easier if you just close the share position, transfer the proceeds from your USD to your GBP wallet, and then withdraw the lot in one go.

Appreciate the horse has bolted for you, but hopefully that's helpful for others.

Has anyone else made their £5k deposit today? Dad did and since the market is closed (Inc etoro’s extended hours trading) then rather than the free share being credited there is a pending order for £500 Microsoft. I assume this will thus execute on Monday and the free share will come into his account. However, his available cash is now £4500 so looks like they have ringfenced £500 of his £5k for the order. I assume that eToro will use their own funds to buy the share on Monday and the available cash will revert back to £5k post trade execution.

That’s interesting and the reason I’ve decided to set up the account and deposit on Monday. Please let me know how you get on.

From what I have gathered on this forum alone, nobody has been successful since Friday….?

Did this yesterday evening. Seeing the same thing. Will see if it rights itself on Monday before I start compliant that I didn't actually want to buy £500 of Microsoft shares with my own money.

Tried this yesterday afternoon, did not receive the free share.

Signed up as suggested, used the PC, chose the free share before registration, created a GPB wallet and received a welcome email which stated that the account was successfully verified.
Then signed in to the app, there was a box at the home page saying verify to receive the bonus, clicked on it, it said done and was asked to deposit funds. I used open banking to deposit £5000 then after that nothing.

A few hours later noticed that on the app setting page it said action needed, regarding verification, was not there before, even though all the list of requirements were ticked green, asked chatbot which said to upload documents.

Went to upload documents and noticed that action required was no longer there, stating that my account was fully verified, I uploaded the documents anyway. Got fed up by now and withdrew the £5000 to the original bank, this came through straight away.

The documents were verified last night and received another welcome email this morning, a different one, followed later by an email which stated that my account is now fully verified.

So I don't know whether to fund the account again (bank is going to wonder what is going on), or just forget it and maybe ask the other half to try, this time waiting a while before funding the account.

Apologies for the long winded comment, may just also copy into my TrustPilot review.
Only the first deposited amount counts for the promotion, so little point funding again. Obviously many of us have got away with not keeping the money there for the 90 days, but we did wait for the welcome gift to be credited. I'm not sure you should hold out much hope.

Perhaps this is what happens when markets are closed. I did not see my funds ever drop below £5k, but if the process is quick during market hours then I might not have had chance to.
Suggests the process is 1) customer funds account, 2) selected share is auto-purchased, 3) when order is confirmed executed price is credited back.

Not familiar with eToro and their extended trading hours facility. Would the trades described here execute when eToro open their platform to such at 01:15 EST (06:15 GMT?) Monday? Microsoft are one of the stocks named as eligible.

Looking at the screenshot above, I wonder if the £500 will only be made available once the account has been open for 90 days, or whatever the qualifying period for the free shares is.

Could be. I guess we'll find out tomorrow morning.
