Buy a Post Office Travel Money Card through TCB and get £15.36 cashback.
Minimum top up £10, which gets you about 11 Euros.
Only load the card with the minimum amount, as the exchange rates are poor.

So a "cost" of ~£5 in lost EA interest for 1 entry in a draw to win £50k (if you invest at the last possible date).
Could you hold the "investment" as cash in the S&S ISA?
Would the £2.50/year fees be charged on cash? (it's 0.25%/yr up to £200k).
Cheeky way to soak up that last bit of ISA allowance for the year?
Quite tempted.

On page 1 of this thread there is an offer from IG. You look like you would qualify for the maximum pay out on that. I have no idea about IG and whether it is any good or what its fees are. Maybe there has been some commentary on here?

I can't see a requirement for investing, so suppose you could keep the money in cash, at a miserable 1% interest. You could alternatively put the money into MMF or gilts if you don't want to make any proper investment. A single trade costs £6.
The account fee would be £2.50 if you have less than £200k in there, and kept the money in there for an entire year (50p if over £200k). As far as I can remember, they charge monthly.
If you have no ISA allowance left but got a flexible ISA, you might be able to withdraw the £1k from it. That's the route I will choose.1 -
Good point, that'll be why.
