I’m going to do this but not sure what to invest in. Do you do the initial investment and then get the bonus or wait till bonus comes in then invest that as well ?

@Clare43 I paid in £100 and chose HSBC FTSE 100 which was £103.58 so I got a fraction share @£99.50 - not sure why it left me with 50p cash.

It placed the order the next day as I did it on Sunday when the market was closed.

I am not super knowledgeable on stocks and shares but felt the FTSE 100 is a reasonable investment for 12 months.

There are lots of options so others may offer another opinion.

The bonus is in pending Cash at the moment. I haven't decided whether to invest it or withdraw it

I click on it, and it just brings me to a page with "password for agreement" on it

I have account with HL and as their charges are changing next month and my GIA will be charged more with them I am looking at cashback offers where to transfer to but it seems most are only aimed at ISAs . I am only looking to move the GIA at the moment possibly the other stuff later. I have only found Charles Stanley direct for the GIA ? Anything else ? Below is more details of what I hold with HL

ISA 285k Inc ETF of 39K

GIA 60k mostly shares with one small foreign holding paying dividends
