Warm Home Discount 2025/2026 now being credited to some accounts.

This morning I have been credited by my energy supplier, OVO, with the WHD for winter 2025-26.
It's shown here on my 'Live' balance in the 'Other Charges' as a minus - you may find that slightly confusing but it's just the way the billing is set out - Because a minus-charge is a credit.
(PS. The £7.14 has been credited seperately against the VAT payable this month).

Nothing as yet on my account. I'm with EDF.Looking back to last year, I notice that the Warm Home Discount was applied to my account on 15 October 2024 so hopefully it won't be too long before I receive it for this year.0

I'm with octopus and only because eligible this year due to housing benefit now being included0

Like I say, it was quite surprising to see it credited to my account so early. The general advice is 'sometime between November and March'.But different companies do things differently2

Mine has been paid by EON.
I didn't qualify for it last year0 -
Ours was credited on 30th October last year, by Octopus. We were previously with OVO (until spring 2024) and as I recall they were always pretty prompt in crediting it (Oct/Nov time).I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Benefits & tax credits, Heat pumps and Green & Ethical MoneySaving forums. Hi I'm with Eon and I get an email from them yesterday saying it had been paid into my account, nothing from DWP. I didn't get it last year either xluvchocolate said:

I'll wait and see with fingers crossed 🤞
I mentioned before Octopus were very generous last year when we lost winter fuel payments...so not complaining0 -
Remember that there are different rules depending on whether you live in England/Wales or in Scotland:AFAIK you will not get any notification from the DWP if you are in England/Wales. If you qualify then the credit is just made automatically by your supplier. You should get notification from the DWP if you are in Scotland and in the Scottish 'Core Group' - that is if you get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit. The guidance linked above says:
If you’re on a low income in Scotland
You do not need to apply if you get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit. You’ll automatically get a letter telling you about the discount if you’re eligible.
Otherwise, you’ll need to apply directly to your energy supplier.
