I'm with utilita. I highly doubt they would pay early but as it is one payment is credited early December and another in January. Why they do this I don't know.0

Why they do this I don't know. Are you on a PAYG smart meter? There are limits on how much they can be topped up by.So sometimes the credits have to be split up into smaller ones.(With older not-smart top up meters that can't take as much credit at once then you may get sent 3 or 4 top up vouchers).1

I left Octopus just a couple of days after the qualifying date so not sure when or how they'll get mine to me!"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

If you're eligible for Core Group 1, Core Group 2 or Core Group Scotland, your £150 rebate gets paid by the company who was supplying your electricity on 24 August 2025. "
Ofgem says to contact your previous supplier to make sure they have your up-to-date contact details (especially if you've moved house).

I never knew they had a limit to the top up amounts. I thought they just did it like that so people didn't go mad and switch on everything electrical and use it all in one month lol.Do you know why they only add it to the electricity. I can share mine between gas and electric on my app but I just wonder why it just gets added to the electric. No specific reason I ask just curious, if anyone knows why.0

Hi it's added to electricity because not everyone has gas1

JadedAngel88 said:Yes, I'm on a smart meter. I never knew they had a limit to the top up amounts. There are a a few limits that can come into play.A smart meter can actually hold up to £999 credit.A non-smart meter has a lower maximum at £250.However companies can set lower limits on their smart meters. It seems to be about a £125 limit that most companies set a smart meter in PAYG mode to hold as a maximum. (So £150 WHD would take at least 2x credits one after the first balance had gone down again). And then if you are topping up a key or card there cab be a limit on how much Paypoint, Payzone, etc. can process in one transaction.

Thanks for answering. I guessed that would be why as it's quite unlikely to not have electricity.luvchocolate said:Hi it's added to electricity because not everyone has gas
