Historically that may have been the case and I had quite a few accounts, but a couple of us have had an account opening declined when having 2 or 3 Everydays but which were opened after closing down to 1. I had a conversation with a complaints handler about 3 months ago which suggests they are now limiting it to 2 of each type.friolento said:

Well, my last Everyday, number 4, was opened less than a month ago.... so at the time I had 3 Everydays, 2 Edge, 1 Everyday Saver, 2 Edge Savers, 1 Monthly Saver. I have closed and opened a couple more since. I think @danny13579 had quite a few as well and had the same experience.

I haven’t listed all my Santander accounts - suffice to say I have easily more than you do.dealyboy said:friolento said:dealyboy said:

All we can conclude that different people have different experiences, and that everyone should try for themselves
NB. I am aware that they no longer accept applications for a second sole Edge1 -
Yes, for the previous £30 offer, at the time I had 2 Edge Current Accounts and 3 Everyday Current Accounts. I applied for a 4th Everyday Current Account and was declined.dealyboy said:... so at the time I had 3 Everydays, 2 Edge, 1 Everyday Saver, 2 Edge Savers, 1 Monthly Saver. I then closed 2 of the Everyday Current Accounts, I needed to keep one open until I got my £25 GC (2 offers back) and upon receiving that, closed the 3rd Everyday Account.
I currently have 2 Everyday Current Accounts, one for the previous £30 offer and one for the current £100 offer. These are in addition to my 2 Edge Current Accounts.
The T&Cs for the Everyday Current Account don't say anything about a maximum number of Everyday Current Accounts. Now, I just close any Santander accounts I don't need as soon as I no longer need them.1 -
I deleted it once I realised it is only one.Jabod said:
The terms of the offer explicitly say that you can only get one Giftcard per person irrespective of how many accounts you open, so I would not bother trying to get more than one voucher (that would also mean you'd have to make an additional 30 debit card purchases for the other account, probably to no purpose).friolento said:MACKEM99 said:Does that mean I can open more than one account for the £100 Amazon voucher?
Doubt it.
But the only way to find out for sure is to try it.
By the way, I cannot find any post where MACKEM99 asked this question.
One other thing I notice in the offer terms is the following: "8. This promotion cannot be combined with any other Gift Card, Cashback offer, or promotion code and may not be redeemed for cash. If this is used alongside another Cashback offer or promotion code, you will not be eligible for the Gift Card."
Taken literally, this means that you cannot simultaneously claim the £20 from TopCashBack and the £100 Amazon voucher for opening the same account. Yet this is what everyone is doing and recommended by MSE etc. I expect in practice you would qualify for both rewards.1 -
Anyone know if Google Pay counts towards the 30 debit card paymentd needed?0
-
I would not worry about that. Santander makes clear in the offer terms that contactless and online card payments are included, and it makes clear on its website that you can add Santander cards to Google Pay for making payments.Matt17 said:Anyone know if Google Pay counts towards the 30 debit card paymentd needed?
The problematic issues with card use in such offers concerns what you use the card for rather than the payments technology. Santander say they will exclude transfers and direct debits, but are happy with "any card purchase".1 -
I found this thread after I applied for a Santander current account via TCB. Like some others the form for vouchersent £100 Amazon doesn’t send so hit the back button and carried on to Santander which has tracked at £20 on TCB. No idea or way of telling if vouchersent will have received my details so have taken several screengrabs as evidence in case.Does vouchersent send an initial email confirming they received your form for those that did successfully send the form off?
Alternatively I would I have to apply for another current account using vouchersent form but not via TCB.0 -

I belive you'd have to fill in a VoucherSent form, and they email an acknowledgement as soon as you have submitted that form. I agree, where yuou are now, you'd have to apply again, clicking through from a different source (such as MSE or Moneysupermarket)2 -
From the sounds of it you have not been registered for the £100 voucher. You would know if you had been registered. First of all, you are directed to the VoucherSent site and have to fill in a short form before being redirected to Santander. And not long after you have filled in this form, you would receive an email from VoucherSent confirming that you are registered.Yorkshire_Pud said:I found this thread after I applied for a Santander current account via TCB. I think the reason you have not been registered is that you pressed on the big pink button at the top that says "Get £20 Cashback". This is entirely understandable, and as I and others have pointed out it is exasperating that TopCashBack flags this button at the top without linking to the Voucher offer.
In order to qualify for the voucher, you need to ignore that pink button at the top and scroll down the page. You will see a box that describes the £100 voucher offer. You need to click on this box. This will redirect you to the VoucherSent registration form.
The good news (I hope!), is that there should be no problem going through the whole process again and applying for a second account by clicking on the box for the offer. This is what I ended up doing. Santander quickly approved both my applications for Everyday current accounts. The bank allows you to have more than one.
You should also notice that if you do this, both your current account applications will be tracked by TopCashBack as qualifying for TCB's own £20 cashback offer, so your TCB dashboard will show that you are owed £40! I suspect, however, that they will only pay you the £20 for the first application (in TCB's General Terms and Conditions they say "repeat purchases may not qualify"). But who knows? I think that at the very least, those opening two accounts should get both the £100 voucher and the TCB cashback. I hope so!1
