Sorry to hear about the possible restructure. Forewarned is forearmed, but not nice to have this to think about so soon after the last time. However, he's a determined man and did amazingly getting this current job, so I think that gives him a strong chance of doing similarly in the future.

Hugs gratefully received KK. signed up to job sites relating to the job area yesterday morning and we’ve discussed current cv etc. He thinks his biggest issues in relation to the type of work he does is age and over qualified. Although neither of those hindered him this time. So discussed looking at volunteering at the local trust sites once a month or gaining further qualifications in something more specialised. Will need further information and discussions.
Thanks cherryfudge I agree. I think this is something we need to remind ourselves of.
Thanks beanielou not looking forward to going down that path again, if it happens. Need to remind myself nothing is set in stone and is based on a hunch. Although Mr🐞 is pretty good at reading the lay of the land.
Thank you dawnybabes for that recipe, will give them a try. I usually end up buying them (expensive), but I’ll brave it and give it a go.Natures tumble dryer worked yesterday, will use again today.
Time to get the youngest sorted to face the day.Love 🐞

sorry to hear your news and the uncertain times. Nice vegetable planting tho x

Thanks watty1, more veggie planting yesterday. Row 6 of 9 of potatoes are now in. We had asparagus ready so we made use of the camping stove at the allotment. Super sweet, delicious. Lots of mowing done as well, will give this a couple of days to die down and will use it to mulch my peas. Fed my broad beans with homemade fertiliser and used mulch I’d prepared earlier in the week. Hopefully mulching will reduce the amount of watering I will have to do.
More future plans chat with mr 🐞, he brought up the possibility of him freelancing if the worst happens and me helping him😲. His skill set is kind of unique and can be expensive if someone wanted to hire him. It’s something I would consider doing with him as he has taught this skills many times to others. With that in mind we have looked and I’ve found a one day course at CAT that I’m considering doing as it’s something we could use if we were to have our own business and if we don't, it’s techniques we could use at the allotment. Mr 🐞is keen for me to do it as we could camp nearby and he could go to the local bird reserve 🤣. I will start a list of things we will need to consider if this is the path we want/need to do.
Time to use natures tumble dryer and then I’m going to go swimming 🏊.

🐞 Is CAT still closed to the general public? I know they do courses and things, but the general public can no longer go for a visit, can they?

I’m not sure about the general public thing GP to be honest. That’s a real shame if that’s the case as it was a really interesting place to look round. We took the kids several times when they were small.

Love how you are turning that negative into possibilities. That is really inspirational.

Sorry to hear your OH is worried about employment. Sadly I think there's very little job security for most people nowadays, so it's good to have contingency plans.
Can I ask about mulching with grass please? I have a LOT of grass clippings (my garden was originally just one massive rectangle of grass) which means my compost is often far too much green and not enough brown. But people seem to be wary about using grass clippings as mulch (although I've used it on hedges before, I just know that you need to keep it away from the stems). What can you use it on/how can you use it/how often do you use it? (I really MUST get my irrigation system set up soon too).
