Meal plan done shopping from the allotment, cupboards and freezer first. Hopefully olio will fill in the gaps but if not I only have 6 items on my list so far. Washing is in natures tumble dryer. Forecast this week tells me there is only 1 dry day and that’s tomorrow. Hopefully get everything washed and dried before the week of bad weather arrives. Don’t think I’m going to get much done at the plot.Just waiting for my timer to ping ( sad lamp time) and then best get miss giddychops out for our plod.Love 🐞

I hear you about time at the plot. I really need to spend a good chunk of time down there - among other things, I need to get proper protection for my onions and garlic in place as something (leaf miner, almost certainly) has been munching my lovely leeks 😔. But I’m not sure when, especially with the weather!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I get those little blighters too. Destroyed my crop this year. I’m really missing going up to the plot at the minute. Really hoping I get there tomorrow.Olio requests picked up, the labelled little peppers turned out to be scotch bonnets. Too fiery for me, so they will go in the compost. So had to go buy peppers as I’d planned to use them for tea. Cake was divided up and put in the freezer for the youngest to have over the next couple of weeks. The FBmarket person turned up eventually after getting lost despite being given postcode. I did think it was someone mucking me about as they kept sending various texts. Anyway they were very apologetic for changing days and then being late. Money added to the funpot. Picked up a load of boxes from my half sibling to use for sending stuff I am planning on selling. Will also use to store stuff in for car boot which I plan on doing next year.Mr🐞 has had a lovely weekend with the eldest at the coast despite the weather. A bit annoyed with him as I gave him some money from the funpot but he chose to put it on the cc🤬.Predictably Mr🐞 has vetoed the lava lamp going and argued for keeping the tent, but he has agreed to getting it out tomorrow night to check to see if it’s gone mouldy. Wedding dress discussed and he wants me to check with the eldest. It’s not really their style, it certainly wasn’t mine. The alternative is for me to unstitch the lace appliqué and keep that for them. A big fat no from the youngest. Anyway will speak to them tomorrow and then it can go to the local chazzers. I am allowed though to sell his 2nd pair of flippers that have never been used🤦♀️. Listed.Time to read my book

Hmmm … with that kind of response to stuff that needs decluttering I would be tempted to quietly ‘lose’ them and then see if he ever notices … 🤷♀️😉 (Half broken, mouldy tents are an absolute no no for me! 😂).
As for the wedding dress, it’s your dress, your choice surely? Mr KK didn’t interfere at all when I got rid of mine. Or any of my other clothes.Glad you got the FBMP fun funds 🎉🎊 😊
As for the peppers, I know you can’t eat them but could you swop them with someone who would or turn them into a decoration of some kind?

KK the dress is definitely my choice, it was just a suggestion from Mr🐞. I did try to re-home the scotch bonnets but no takers. In fact one friend refused them due to the fact they would set off her menopause symptoms.I have tried to lose things during a decluttering session before and it is probably one of the only times Mr 🐞 has lost his rag with me. So the agreement is if it’s mine I can do what I want with it, if it's jointly owned we will discuss it and if it’s his he gets to decided.Managed to get up and yoga. Just waiting for daylight to put the washing in natures tumble dryer. Busy day today. Mum wants to get a new computer, rain coat and go for lunch. Pick up olio request (parsnips) and some more stuff from half sibling. Hopefully squeeze a visit to the plot and walk miss giddychops.

That's an idea! In our household, we don't throw out something that belongs to the other person, in fact that's why I fell out with Mar1e K0ndo: she threw out someone else's coat as they weren't wearing it. To me, that was theft. However, it does put pressure on those of us who have difficulty letting go of things.
Sometimes it's easier to pass things on than just to 'get rid'. Someone may be glad of those magazines! And while he probably hasn't read them in a while, he could be holding onto the feelings they gave him when they were new, or the awareness of what they cost. Separating those feelings from the possession of the magazines or whatever is tricky and I don't have suggestions for it (I have too much stuff so it's a live issue here). However, I do like the Flylady's idea of 'blessing someone' with the things we no longer need. If I know something is going to someone who will get use/pleasure from it, I don't feel the need to hold on so much.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
