    Comparing the three possible contenders:
    • Asda - calls: 15p/min, texts: 10p
    • O2 - calls: 3p/min, texts: 2p, voicemail: 3p
    • Sky - calls: 10p/min, texts: 30p
So it looks like I might be trying out O2 Classic PAYG if they allow me to transfer my existing number without grief.

One thing to be aware of with O2 Classic PAYG. Whilst the SIM will work in a 4G phone, the tariff doesn't support VoLTE so you won't be able to make calls using 4G. The tariff was discontinued in 2019, only unsold SIMs that were already out there are available.

If 3G has been switched off in your area then you'll fall back to 2G for calls but O2 is slowly migrating customers away from 2G so you may need to change SIM and tariff in the near future.

Have now successfully topped-up with £10 cash voucher from local shop.  Although I had to call them (on 4445) I have now also requested transfer of my existing number so just waiting for that to happen.

Are you still using your Tesco sim meantime, if so how do 02 notify you when transfer complete?
Looking at ebay, would I need a Classic sim for the 3.2.1 tariff?

Think they would normally notify by email but as I told them I don't have an email address guess they will just do the transfer at some point anyway.  Currently leaving two phones switched on, one with old Tesco SIM, the other with new O2 SIM, I just call the number every so often to see which one rings.

    Edit:
The one I got of eBay was labled:
O2 Sim Card New Sealed 2024 O2 Sim Pay As You Go 02 3G 4G 5G Data, WiFi

How do I tell what tariff I am on and what the call rates are?
Package is labled: "£15, O2, 25Gb, Unlimited minutes and texts"

This is the sim you need .only this has the 3p min 2p text 1p mb. And credit never expires, and you dont have to top it up every month. Just remember to make a chageable call every 6 month to keep it active
