Pensioners?
I was also in that situation during the Covid years, and I'm nowhere near being a pensioner. Low income but high savings. Although with interest rates at rock bottom in those years, I was nowhere near paying tax on interest.

My figures are out of date as several RS have matured including Coventry Home Saver from which I have withdrawn a large sum. I have not yet renewed all the closed ones. Unfortunately I don’t have ones maturing each month.

Not being up to date is not a problem from the table's point of view 😀
The people who are interested in viewing the figures will just probably regard the figures as a limited snapshot in time anyway. Feel free to update all or any of your figures as and when you are able. I'm grateful for your participation in the table and the thread. 😀

My impression from what I have so far gleaned is that 12 is the optimum number, with one maturing every month. So I'm aiming for that.
So far I have 5, and mostly maturing on the same month😄. As you can see it's taking me a while to get up to speed and no doubt I have lots more to learn😁

Yes, 12 RSs are good for a monthly ladder .. one maturing roughly each month to go on to fund the rest of the RSs next payments, if you can arrange to structure it this way. It all depends on the amount of funding you have available, so I've got to the point where I'm funding 24(+), so 2 are maturing each month … roughly! So each month I'm looking to "replace" the two maturing RSs … but some months can't resist an extra tasty one that appears, or end up looking at my list of "potentials" if one of the maturing ones doesn't have a suitable direct replacement.
There is no "one way" of doing RSs, so people mix and match different tactics to suit their needs, …. and funds.

Thanks @Bobblehat I like the idea of the monthly ladder where things neatly slot into place. Well, I can but hope!
