It could work for me either way … but anticipate the latter solution doubling my work maintaining the table as I can imagine having to ask nearly every commentator if they would mind me entering their stats in the table, and then waiting to see if they reply or not! But … Hey Ho!

FTAOD I regard is as a table, not a league table. I'm interested in the number others have (so as to know there are people with more that haven't been pinged by banks' AML regs) and the monthly amount for the same reason, and the weighted average. What 'position' someone has is of no consequence.
Different people will have different interests I guess.

If anyone has supplied figures after the point that the first table was published, it seems reasonable to infer that they are OK with their figures being included in the table until told otherwise.
Those who have made only one post in the thread are less likely to know that there is a table, as sometimes you see a title and immediately start typing what you want to say in response without reading the thread in full.

Some forumites have mentioned having account(s) frozen; being on a table is no guarantee that they haven't. For what it's worth I haven't, but I do split RS funding between the three current accounts that I need to pay into each month. That does come with the added admin of moving one or two every now and again.
Regular contributors will know that there is nothing to be done but wait for any investigation to be completed - and won't need to ask for advice in a crisis as they will have other accounts they can use in the interim.

Yep! That's why I have no problem removing stats if the poster feels I have erroneously included them … or they just simply changed their mind, or feel the thread has moved away from what they expected. I make no judgement as to the reason they want their stats removed and I don't ask for one.
Luckily, so far, the table has grown, with new additions outpacing the very few who have withdrawn. You may have noticed that I generally thank new participants for their contribution so as to make clear I intend to include their stats in the next update of the table. It gives them the opportunity to indicate if they don't want that.
@happybagger is right ….. What position someone has in the table has no consequence …. but their participation in the table (collectively) may be very useful to some …. or entertaining to others 😀

Can you remove me from the table please as I know I won't get around to updating figures on a regular basis, but that it will irk me knowing they are incorrect. Thanks.

No problem, they will disappear in the next update. Thanks for your past contribution to the table.

I think it's incredibly poor taste to look over other peoples finances as a form of "entertainment".
One man's opinion.

You had better make sure you don't do it then.
I don't suppose those that do will care much that you think it's in bad taste.

At least people are putting their information on here freely and with their knowledge.
I don't like all these medical programmes on telly where people are filmed without their consent, enabled by the NHS, for people's entertainment.
But there we go...
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2
