@Pixie Cosmo  Have you thought of a kebab house they have chicken breast meat that they will put on a grill and you could have a pitta with salad to go with it.

@pixie_cosmo. It is hard at this time of year when everyone is going out and meeting up for meals. I find it less difficult in the summer. I often supplement the potatoes/ chips for a salad. We are going to a skittles evening in November and I have asked for the fish cakes with salad instead of chips. They are doing salad with the lasagna anyway so it's not a problem for the pub.

Thanks all, I'm veggie so I'm more limited. Useful suggestions. It's so mentally draining to keep working out what I can fit in 🙄. At least I'm not away often! How wonderful it must be to not worry so much.

I've decided to try to keep to my calorie goal as much as possible today and Thursday, and just accept tomorrow will be over calories. I'll do a lot of walking to the office and after work which will offset some of it.

    Today's weekly weigh-in says STS.

Apparently an older woman (like me) needs about 1940 calories to maintain their weight.
Over the last week I averaged 1868.  So a STS is to be expected (a deficit of 72 can't be expected to yield much!)

Pixie I hope you didn't get too stressed sometimes all you can do is try and maybe ask for fruit as a dessert and not look at the dessert menu. I find going down the dry curries route in Indians or at least the non creamy ones are less calories, plain rice and be weary of nan bread.  Italian meals I look at tomato based or veggie based sauces for pasta again avoiding the cream sauces.

Would salad work better than sandwiches for lunch, maybe a plain salad, a small portion of individual wrapped cheese and a small plain roll no butter.

I wasn't upset to have a lunch cancelled today, it would have been trying! I've been good this week eating a lot of fish and vegetables so I'm hoping tomorrow will be kind
I definitely overthink menus when I go away and wind myself up. Doesn't help I'm feeling hormonal and therefore starving... 😂 I was calorie neutral yesterday, and over by 500 today. I have walked a lot! My original Mexican food plan failed as the restaurant was full, as was the other Mexican place. So I had a halloumi burger instead. It was very nice. It had salad in it :-)

ON THE PLUS SIDE! Sales on at the mo - managed to bag myself a well-known brand of jeans, down a size from before, and leg size perfect (short legs, nightmare to buy for) down from £110 to £33. They look fab, and I've been after a pair for ages.
