Hi All

Welcome to the Old Style Weight Loss thread for quarter four 2025

Please feel free to start posting your weight loss goals for the next challenge which will run from the 1st October until the 31st December.

You do not have to submit a loss or gain for the first week as it's our starting week, you can post your first loss or gain the week after on a day of your choice.

As usual everyone is welcome - we support and encourage, we don't judge and importantly that includes being kind to ourselves  <3  All hints and tips welcomed especially during the current time when we may be reaching for food or aren't able to buy our usual healthier choices.

I'm sure ideas about cheap healthy meals and free exercise ideas will be welcomed at the moment

Please send me your targets if you are setting one in either lbs or kgs whatever suits you but only in increments of 1/2 or 1  -  There is no requirement to provide a target or weekly weight ins and no one has to justify if they chose not to weigh in for any period of time

Anyone can join the challenge at any point over the next 3 months  :)

All aboard and Good Luck  <3

My target is 4lbs please. I'm now at the top of the 'healthy' range for my height, and I would like to be in the middle, and stay there! This is the closest I've been for a long time, and I genuinely think it's because I'm currently not drinking booze.

It'll be a challenge now I weigh less. Plus, winter and lower energy levels :-( My sedentary daily calorie expenditure / maintenance is now around 1200cals! Which is my calorie goal as I really can't eat any less or I get hangry. So I will have to move more.

Food plan = higher protein/lower starchy carbs. Breakfasts - protein shakes or greek yogurt with fruit and nuts. Lunches - lentil or bean soup and pitta / cheese and crackers and veg / greek salad. Dinners - calorie counted but lower carb so plenty of veg instead of potato/rice/pasta.

Hope this quarter goes well for you all x

My target is 4lb this time. I am now at my lowest weight since April but haven't lost as much as I wanted to. Now 11st 11lb. I am also at the top of the  'healthy' range for my height. Overall, since first trying to lose weight, I have lost about 8 or 9lbs but the progress was mostly at the beginning. Now I just hover/maintain the early loss but can't get any further.

Thank you, Brambling, for the new quarter's thread.

I'll aim to weigh in on Wednesdays.

So today's weight is 54.0 kg which converts to 8st 7lb.

I'd like to get down to  8st 0lb by 31 December and stick to that in 2026. So aiming for a 7lb loss.
