Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 4th Quarter 2025

Another Sts suppose it’s better than a gain and with the number of Christmas Events I seem to have got involved in ( not complaining)
it could be called a success
suspect it’s damage limitation now until after the new year when a big effort will have to be made4 -

STS again for me which isn't too bad after eating absolutely rubbish at the weekend (events on both Friday and Saturday nights 🤦♀️).
I am not hopeful that I'll lose anything before next year to be honest - I've lost my way somewhat and motivation is low...
I hope you survive your week @Brambling!! 😳😂'Happiness is not a destination but the journey you walk every day'

So this week I'm .5lb down. I think that's probably it for this year lol! Got some catching up meals with friends and relatives, work outing, usual seasonal stuff. Last year I absolutely stuffed my face and piled it on. Enjoyed it at the time though! I'm aiming to enjoy my meals out, and Christmas Day treats, but eat sensibly and try to walk/workout otherwise.
I'm really pleased with progress this year. I'm around 1.5 stone down from this time last year. Slow and steady!
Hope everyone gets to enjoy themselves over the festive season. Thanks to @Brambling and y'all for the support and advice :-)4 -
Sorry I’m late the days are running away with me STS don’t know why still a couple of weeks before Xmas time to hopefully get another couple of pounds off3
-
After staying the same last week, I've lost 2lbs this week. I've done better than I thought I would this quarter and have achieved my target weight. For the rest of December, I want to either stay the same while enjoying the Christmas season or possibly drift down slightly to be a pound or two lighter on 2nd January. Thank you, Brambling, for running this thread.2

This is beyond yo-yo-ing this is more like trampolining!! up, down, up, down.
But today I appear to be 2 pounds down and so will report that as I'm off on an eating fest for the next 2 weeks so won't have the scales available. That may be my last report of the quarter. We shall see if wandering around multiple Christmas markets in Germany uses more calories than I might consume.
To my credit so far I have not consumed any mince pies (not that fussed frankly) or any mini stollen (held off until I considered it vaguely Christmasy at which point none were left in the shops - please don't correct me on this with any sightings!)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. ugh....1 and a half Ibs back on for me, again!
Need to get myself out of the mindset where a family sized pack of something is 'a little treat'.
